Quick question, regarding exp.

Postby Mafuyu » 08 Jul 2014, 04:58

Just curious, I am currently lvl 27. If my friend joins, will I be able to power level them? Or will it simply destroy the exp they get from mobs?

One would assume the XP would be shared, but I'm not sure. Considering how this game works most of the time, they could very well get max XP.
Group work? What's that?

This may be entirely wrong and untrue, but I just assume that a mob EXP is first multiplied (by party member number or a value less than that), then divided in such a way that the killer/finisher of that mob gets the lion's share of that EXP. Also, Player Level disparity between members may also have a role on how the EXP is divided.

Well from my guesses every monster has a base XP depending on level and such.
You can technically leech your friend but it'll take some time I say you gain minimal EXP if you don't land the killing blow so :I
Other then that the numbers I get varies too much to be conclusive soo yeah...

From what I see you split the XP with everyone and it is based on how much damage you do to the monster/if it was the killing blow.
Thus if you say soloed the monster you get max XP and split the rest with the party.

Ting Tong~ Lann here.

About the exp.

No, their exp won't be rekt.

Aside from the usual "I'm high tier and the mobs are trash" problem Exp works like this:

Sample Exp: 1000
three dids:
Did the player X kill it? Yes? Get full exp.
Did the player X try to kill but someone else did? Get around 80% of the exp.
Did the player X do anything? No? Well he gets 50% of the exp.

The exp won't be wrecked even if you gain 0 exp. They'll still recieve some of the exp as if you get 100%. If you plan on power leveling your friends, just run them through harder difficulty dungeons, that way even if you do wreck the miserable lives of them youkais (just hope they don't turn into a mononoke), they'll get bigger exp than they would if they cleared it by themselves.
A Hero will never give up, never hide, never be defeated, and never accepts evil! -Samumenco
