For instance, what if a level 80 player wanted to get a amijaslkjgalkjda or w/e that staff you need for the title is? Would they have to buy it from lower level players to obtain it or would it be impossible for them to get the title anymore?
Not to mention that we have reduced EXP gains for most things so if someone carelessly follows the main questline all the way, they'll be too underleveled to do the quests and become stuck eventually.
Limiting dungeons is usually a bad idea for most games.
edit: Ah just thought of a decent (imo) way we could deal with this. If the killer is healed by a significant (as in 20%+) of their HP or SP (might need to be a lower percent idk), the healer gets full exp for all mobs he kills for a certain duration. Of course, this won't really help stop low level leeching since anyone can pick up a heal 1 or invig 2 and leech up to like level 30 but past that they'll need to actually get stronger heals/cures or invigs to leech.
I NEVER say you can't enter the dungeon. But you won't ge the same rate of XP/Drop rate from the dungeon if your level is TOO HIGH or TOO LOW. So you can always get your title.
If your character is strong enough, you can always farm ryou at lower or at the same level dungeon, at lower rate of course, since you're stronger than the mobs.
Make it that if you HUNT the same level or around your level mobs you'll get more rewards. Than this leeching business will be go out of business.. or not?
You can always buy lower level drops from other players.
Or make it the same storage the characters in the same account. You can create lower level character and store the items in the storage.
( BUT, again, we can't right now ).
Limiting dungeons are implemented in many games out there though. But I won't go on telling because we're talking about Onigiri Online here.
And the 'last hit' get the 'kills and drops' system here feels so wrong in so many levels. It was implemented in olden games. That's why healer/supporter class got minimal EXP.
My experience : Byakuden Hell -> killing monster XP : 39 XP; while only supporting : 13 XP. (with XP boost).
It means Healer/Supporter and leecher got only : 0.33333 (1/3) exp from the attacker. Minus lucky boxes
It applies to all the party.
