Well there are skill proficiencies using a skill on a weapon over an over eventually makes the skill stronger, and after you pick up Momotarou you can evolve the skills on weapons but im not really sure how that works.

the only way to make the weapon itself stronger is to reinforce it by scraping other weapons to make it stronger, once it reaches a reinforcement limit of +10 you can smelt it using another weapon that shares your weapons name to increase the reinforcement limit another 10

Is there any skill building to make you more proficient in a certain weapon or is it literally just the stats?

I don't know if I really like the idea that as a Power type if I want to use an axe, I'll be just as good with a bunch of other weapon types simply because I have power.

It doesn't seem like this game has any roles or specializations really.

You use a Magatama, that's the only way to get real damage boosts for a specific weapon since they have bonus stats like Axe skill force +20% or something for example.

Any ideas on what does Glory Magatama's Effective Level +1 do? It seems like nothing but a troll magatama, if going by Kaguya's comments on it.

Interesting~ I'll try that out when I hit 20 (since the next tier of weapons I have is at 21).

On a side note, are there any low level staffs with self-buffs? How rare are they? Can't seem to see any other buffs atm other than Skanda/Strike/Unbreakable/Magic Shield and those are targeted buffs. Would be nice to abuse buffs/debuffs for my own DPS benefit (as a WIS/mnd user).

I have just tried this myself now that I am level 60. I need a level 61 weapon. I tried the glory magatama and it did not allow me to use a weapon level 61.

The wiki talks about being gullible so maybe it really doesn't work and it's like some joke the game makers put in. If so, score one for them. Yet another gullible person has been fooled.
