Character Stats

Postby TheonlyDaichi » 12 Apr 2016, 14:14

So, I decided, since I got my other computer back, to use the screenshot software I downloaded, and screenshot my stats.

However, I want to know if I should do something different (I was told to save for a Stat Point Reset and change to bow), or I should work with just one weapon period, to get that going good. I'm currently in limbo with everything, so any help is appreciated.

I was also told to stack skills (Which I did before, but I sold that blade... Oops.), and so I plan on doing it, but at this point, I want to know if stacking bow skills even has a point, because I don't have anywhere near a full affinity for bow.

I'd agree that without a stat reset, you'd be better off using swords. In any case, your stats, magatama and titles should generally all be for a single weapon type.

I'm not too sure if the suggestion to change to bow is still valid with the recent rebalancing...

I'm noting that I do more damage with the maga I have, and the fact that the guy told me to succeed a person to do with bows... >.> I do like my swords, but he seems to be right. But should I reverse it and do the same with a Sword?

I don't have any maga for swords... What should I aim for, maga wise? (Gonna wait on making my bow, because if this becomes what I think it will, I'll have made a cool bow for nothing >.<)

You can get a number of sword magatama through quests which can be helpful to start off with. Here are some quest magatama which may be helpful:
-Asougi
-Kougasha
-Carapace
-Nayuta
-Stag Beetle
-Amara

The quests which give them are listed here. Amara is also available through bargains (Miroku, negotiation level 4 -lvl 16->18 inclusive). So I'd suggest getting them from there after getting some quest magatama (assuming you use high ranked skills).

Quoting this so you don't run into trouble if you do end up trying this method...
I wrote:Miroku Bargain Mechanics: Miroku has a range of things he can give in bargains for his negotiation level but he doesn't give all of them. Instead (from what I've observed) he picks out 3 rows of things from the available list and cycles through them: [1 type of material (2 per cycle), 1 type of weapon (2 per cycle), 1 type of magatama (1 per cycle) and 1 type of consumable (food, friendship items, soul egg) (3 per cycle)] x3 (one for each bargain row -so you effectively get 8 specific sets of items (with repeats)). If you're not getting the item you want, you'll need to "reshuffle" the bargains by buying all three items.
