Item Shop is over priced.

I mean, just look at it.
Five dollars for some repair fairies.
Not to mention garapon, 20 USD for 5 rolls. Haha, it really gave me a good laugh.
Chances are already low and we have to pay 20 dollars just to get scammed.
If prices were cheapers they would have more people using actual item shop. It seems to be made for rich people.

Totally. Though I've posted the same thing in other two topics (and so people might think I'm annoying already), but that's the thing.
I would pay five dollars for a subscription of this game. It sounds totally reasonable and fair.
In exchange? Make those coins worth 10-20 times more.

The bazaar is there to "solve" this though. Some rich people get the coins in circulation, the poor fight for them like crazy.
Will take some ages for that to work though (that if it will, that if it will...).

You can also look at the "premium" boost thing which is basically a subscription, a system many f2p games use, but the boost is laughable... 30% exp and ryou for $15? maybe if it was 50.. but I think 100% is a little more close to what $15 is worth...

But getting the costumes is highly overpriced considering the small chances you get. Even with the free tickets, it doesn't do much to alleviate the expensive price of some costumes. I'm guessing it'd take 10-15 rolls to get one... that's like $50...

:v Ive had luck on the Gachomonie machines. Sometimes good luck sometimes bad its the whole thing of gambling while many feel it cost too much they don't have much to offer if everything was $1 we would buy it all up in a flash and no one would buy squat anymore except consumables. Cyberstep in its self has been known for high item shop prices while this is higher than usual is that really a surprise to anyone? I also fear this thread will quickly turn into the I can afford it and you cant peasants very quickly which is rather unfortunate but enough about that. Have any of you ever been to a casino you cant expect to walk into there and walk out with mucho monies if that was the case they would be out of business. Remember folks its a gamble. (win some lose some) Also $5 per roll is on average personally what Ive seen for item shops. Instead of lowering the prices lets change the bazaar system to incorporate the ingame cash. If you took the time to read this thanks. :3

The short version: Its a gamble your not guaranteed squat! The prices are on average but people will always complain for the sake of complaining. :3

I just looked at the shop and saw the conversion to dollars today. I've spent quite a bit of money on a few MMO cash shops before but this stuff is too expensive. $5 for one chance to get something good along with a chance for a lot of stuff I don't want is pretty bad imo. To me, $4 or so should guarantee a cool product like a costume and maybe $1 for something like an Ougi. I'd be willing to spend up to $6 for a costume, but even then that feels pricey and it would take a lot of consideration of the costume's quality. I think there are others (especially in the free to play market full of penny-pinchers lol) who would consider a reasonable price to be lower than that too. I can understand if the actual prices are somewhat higher than the example prices I'm mentioning here since these are just my price points I'd be happy with, but as some posters mentioned above, it could take ~$30 in rolls just to get a costume along with some doo-dads that people might not want and that's a bit ridiculous. That's like buying half of a new triple-A video game, many of which also have online components.

Considering it's all digital items, in my opinion, they should aim to find the sweet spot in pricing that keeps revenue flowing in while keeping people happy and coming back for more. For me, even though I'm still a relatively new player, I'd have been willing to spend $10 already but I'm still at $0 just because it goes against my principles to buy overpriced stuff from MMO cash shops. I like this game so far and I want to support it by buying cool stuff but those cash shop prices... It's very tough.

I don't want to be a big nuisance about it since after all it's just cash shop sparkles and fluff, and I don't know what their development and maintenance costs are like, but I really think there's some greater potential customer satisfaction and profits to be had if the items were at better prices.

Also, aiming the cash shop toward supplying cosmetic items as opposed to pay-to-win items is a good idea and I think games like League of Legends and Guild Wars 2 have pretty good cash shop models for that.

To be honest GW2 shop is terrible too. There are too many useless items being sold.
But ignoring that, one way to introduce a stable income to the server would be a VIP account like people said above.
But 15$ for it just makes everything meaningless, it's still expensive. Sadly I'm out of the public they want to target, I neither have that much time to play the game, neither want to burn my money, so I guess I'll keep not giving a single dime for this game.

I would subscribe a monthly VIP account for 5$ that increases the ammount of onigiri coins I get by 10 times. There, said my price.
Also that's fun how people said about "gambling". That's stuff for sick people who wants to get broken, take that out of MMOs right now.

Does that even boost the whole account or only one character ? I was asking myself the same question for storage expansions and bazaar tickets as well, since it isn't stated clearly in the items descriptions unlike other games i am used to.

That's a good point... it doesn't say.. if it's only one character, it's even more of a waste of money...

I think Onigiri has the right idea as it isn't really p2w (maybe the ougi would count, but I don't think they'd be that OP overall). It's just too expensive..
