Skill evolution?

I tried to evolve skills by partner but never worked. Can any one explain HTF it works? i have rank 1/2/3 skill at max lvls but can't evolve any of them in any kind of weapo. Please some one explain it to me.

you need momotaro to have higher friendship first at izumo when u fully lvl him up u can evolve rank 1 skills and the more u lvl him up the more skill ranks he evolves

Hm, im at izumo and im trying to evolve my Charge Spike I on my Otegine Spear but he wont do it. But i just indentified a Decrept bamboo spear and he will evolve Charge Spike I on that. Anyone know why?

Thanks for that, alot of good info there. But it didnt explain why he will evolve it on one and not the other. Dose he have a tough time evolving skills on Rare weapons maybe? Im just trying to figure out how he works. Maybe he needs more friendship for higher quality weapons? Brainstorm activate!

Like in the link, only skills with double borders can be evolved. In addition he won't evolve higher ranked skills until he's of a higher level. You can evolve any skills that are at max level regardless of which weapon they are on as long as the other requirements (double border and friendship level) are met.

I get that. I understand that the whole double border can be upgraded. What i was wondering is why he will evolve the same skill on one weapon but not the other. Thats all i was asking. And My question was maybe if hes higher friendship level will he eventually evolve the skill on the weapon thats a higher quality. Like i said he will evolve Charge Spike on a Decript Bamboo spear but not my Rare Otigine. So I was just questioning If maybe a higher friendship is required for better weapons

Friendship level only affects the skill ranks you can upgrade and isn't linked to rarity. In that case I have no idea.
