how so

Okay damage, considering it's supportive/defensive. Arcing AoE so you can touch a good number of mobs with no SP cost in a nice area. 2~3 extra inch reach over MOST power/dex weapons (Not Oodachi or Bows though).

Skill power is actually decent (plus several of my spears have come w/ Skill Force +5~8%), just not as over-the-top broken like a pure power build, which sacrifices a lot defensively.

Guarding, most bosses blockables hit you for 1~12 due to massive P.def.

Combined with Mind you have a pretty high SP pool as well, with skills on Spear not being AS costly as some other weapons, you also regen fairly well.

3 spears + 1 staff = good self recovery/recovery of allies.

Able to kill Momotarou deathless due to sheer defensive prowess.

I'm Pow/Mnd in JP version and I'm Pow/Mnd here in ENG beta.

here is my plan:
I'll start as Kind then initially build as Pow/Mnd in OBT-release. I'll subclass Wis or Vit around Lv60 or once my Pow(primary) and Mnd is high enough. i'll stop at 30~40+vit, and keep my Mnd around 80; then adding Wis as much as possible. keeping dex at base.

weapon-wise end-game; it's 1 staff for self-heal, 1 wand for skill damage filler(or status effects), then sword and oodachi for main damages. that should cover all elements, only thing missing would be impact and piercing.

magatama-wise: 1 slot for defense, then 3 slot for offense/utility.

Ill be running same set up I did in alpha and in this CBT. Cautious type with DEX the primary focus and WIS the secondary using twin swords, bows, and wands with a random staff for self healing. It hasn't failed me yet in my solo escapades and I cant imagine it ever will.
Alpha: Level 37 alpha clearer
Release: Level 119 cautious type (Press F to pay respects)

defence to beat momotarou? he doesnt hit that hard at lvl 14 it took 10 seconds to kill him same with Tiamat. just use a axe or odachi then go skill 1-2-3 done

If wand isn't that underwhelming, I'll go for wis/mind..

Otherwise, I'll stick into vit/mind ^_^

I'm still going on with wand... prolly gonna go kind with 3 wands/1 staff.

It's really weak compared to bows and odachis now, but i haven't find something i couldn't do in the main quest so far, hopefully they'll make it better at higher (50+ imo) ranks

If you going for Vit/Mnd, how would you go about to add the stats? im not very good in creating a balanced stats char, so I need some help on that.
In addition to Vit/Mnd, what and how much to put if i going for oodachi?

What would be better for solo between Pow and Dex?

when i say dex i mean Twin Swords... Bow is boring...
In the end, everything turns to Darkness. You are no different. Now die...
