I played the pso2 jp beta, was fun but the fact you had to do dungeons with speed to finish quests and not understanding the slightest bit of japanese put me off the game, pso2 is allot more fluid in combat but then again it makes it allot easyer, this game feels more like a indie version of it feeling a bit glitchy and old school but also providing a challenge (if you dont play a ranged class or grind). that being said I think this game is nice and has potential but its probably not gonna last more than a month before I get bored sadly. Unless there is Pvp or the laggy monsters stop lagging and get increased AI this game will just become a cake walk.
Waiting for game name and someone to offer to make me a sig.

The game lags a bit, causing clipping bug where enemies would teleport from where I was attacking. I'm from Ontario and have an internet speed of 28Mbps, depending on where the server is located, I shouldn't be lagging too much if it is located in the states. My screen freezes/skip during combat in the dungeon which cause some annoyance. I am able to play Final Fantasy XIV, Tera, Guild Wars 2, etc. without any problem, so I am assuming it's because of the lag.

I like it because it's an anime inspire game that stay closer to the anime graphics, similar to Mabinogi and Shin Megami Tensei which I like, unlike Dragon Nest and Tera. But it definitely feel more like an indie sandbox game develop in the 2000s with the goal of develop a functionally acceptable game quickly for the console, and was ported to PC without any consideration for the PC gamers. This is due to the lack of customization in the settings, keybinds, etc. It may sound like a small thing when porting from console to PC, but they are repeating Square-Enix mistake with Final Fantasy XIV which cause them to revamp the game, resulting in them spending more money and resources instead.

The game is not bad, but to me, it's a game to play very casually and is easily forgotten when a new similar game comes out that.

This looks like it could be a thing, as they've started with Milky Holmes already in Japan.

However, they're appearing to go after Moe animu instead of mainstream action shtuff.

PSO2 (aka the game that Onigiri copies in every way) already has a pretty good choke hold in the "anime crossover" department

it's really sad that Onigiri is going for the same exact market, with the same exact type of game... this will only end badly/in a flop

I'm wondering. How does Onigiri copy PSO2?
Edit: Nevermind. Skipped back to page 1 and read what you said. I agree with *Lai

Honestly, if PSO2 is the only game you can think of that this is knocking off, then there are a lot of MMOs you've never played.

Honestly everything Hunter listed is just stuff from a million other games.

This is your argument, but with different items subbed in.

honestly, the similarity to pso is what made me want to play this game...

since they you know... wont... release it.... for me ...in america .... ahem.

what do i think of the game?

its a great time waster. grab a couple buddies... farm... mess around have some fun... but it probably wont be taking over my 'main game' status unless a lot of things are done for this game... still lookin for a 'main game' sadly as i dont think black gold online is gunna hold my interest for mor ethan another day or two....

-

i just need to win the lottery, so i can manipulate a bunch of people even more nerdier than me, to make a crazy indepth dungeon/raid/pvp mmo with a few half decent time wasting minigames, like the standard bejewled rip off, gambling, and most importantly a ccg .. where you collect cards that drop from monsters and bosses, make decks, and can pvp with players... i can dream tho cant i?
