First time I got a multi hit skill like Lightning Flash Shot VII and it depleted my SP from 500+ to 0-34
I don't chain skills before or after it since it's a slow 4 shot combo.

It doesn't seem to happen if I only hit the enemy once canceling the three other shots.

Tried again right now and my SP dropped from 562 to 125 when it should have consumed only 118.
First and only skill I used when I entered the dungeon at full HP/SP

Did some further testing and 1 shot(3 shots canceled) consumed 118, 2 shots consumed 236 and etc

I briefly mentioned it in the best skills for each weapon thread but the timing for when it does deduct the rest of the SP is when your SP regen kicks in, which is why instead of going to 0 it goes to 18 in my case. I don't think i've ever seen it happen at any other time, I guess if you used one of the moves just as your SP regen was about to go off it might look more immediate.

I also remember it happening in the beta on Static Axe I think.

Indented these next two text blocks cause I will leave them there but in my last paragraph I kind of note how I don't think they matter much.

    Just ran to Sekigahara field to test and I saw Lunge Step V:
    drain only the initial 60 SP, honestly this happened the most, but it still is annoying when the delayed drain does happen
    120 SP (60 intial + 60 at SP regen)
    and the full 240 SP (60 initial + 180 at SP regen)
    in separate attempts 'while only hitting the third hit'(?), it probably even drained 180 SP at one time but I didn't write it down/catch it.

    But this quick test wasn't very good anyways, its pretty hard to tell what hits and for all I know the second hit hit but the damage showed up during the third swing. Would be better to test on the same enemy, maybe a boss like Ahriman or Chief Daruma who doesn't move and note the distance Lunge Step was used at. The only thing that really stayed consistent in this short test was me holding down right click through the whole skill, I never cancelled after 3 out of the 4 parts or anything like that.

One thing I can say though is that I saw it my SP drain by 120 when cancelling at 2 hits, 3 hits, and doing the whole 4 hits, when I wasn't hitting anyone just making sure that what I thought was the third hit was the third hit, so I guess the amount of hits that connect doesn't even matter, just the amount of uses of the combo move,making the last two paragraphs probably useless... For all I know if I kept lunge stepping at nothing it would drain my SP by more than 120 sometime, at least for 3 uses or 4. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ probably just some lag/packet loss thing, it only costing the initial cost seems to be the most consistent for me. Should have tried it in the Boss spawning event :lol:

After the patch, Lightning Flash Shot VII no longer consumes 4x the SP for the 4 hit combo; or at least for me.

I'll ask my other friends with combo type skills if they would experience the same.
