Based on my observations there are 3 types of people in Secluded Forest: a spear man, a legit support, and a twin sword / archer / whatever that holds a staff lol jk. Not my problem though since most of the time I go solo. I really want to join a grinding party where everyone's doing their job but meh, that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Just got 10 levels right there in one day :o. If I knew it beforehand... Well, for grinding party, there are only three types : spearman, support/whoever holds staff, and the others that don't do anything.

I dont mind playing support... pay off = exp/ryou plus what ever drops sure you dont get lucky box ur not the one killing.. but maybe I'm just not picky I can't kill them myself so I appreciate the things I do get in return even a simple ty for keeping me alive or with sp and speed so I didnt have to use so many pots is enough ^^

but I guess some people can be greedy and want it all as for teams working together I can see the ideal one being 2 heavy hitters 2 support one for each hitter and sure bring a leech after all we all been there trying to get on a team till you get strong enough to kill yourself just my opinion o.o

To be fair, I think almost every support in the game is pissed at the mechanics for supporting. It's kinda stupid how supports do work but get treated by the game as a leecher. Doesn't really help that staves have really garbage offensive skills so we're screwed in the damage department also. For crying out loud, the game is pretty much saying "you're boned in parties and you're boned solo. GET FUCKED!!" At this point, staves really have nothing going for them other than a list of downsides.

Yawn yes we get it, it sucks being playing a game without the ability to adapt to the situation. Instead of complaining about the same stuff, learn to play the support and stop getting agro in party will ya?

And this is why I make parties that are at a specific level range as the dungeon, that way everyone works. I'm not against leeching, but I do hate the mentality that people are allowed to slack off.

Yawn  . Staffs actually, can kill, you know, just a little bit slower than other weapons ;) ;) . Only works with friends though.

As far as reviving goes, it's very easy to get by without paying out for onigiri coins. Just get Miroku to level 14 affection and he starts selling soul eggs in his bargains. I've been stocking up on them so I don't have to worry.

Personally, I love a good healer in a party. I need SP and idaten because I'm usually rounding things up to use water dragon spear which eats up my SP. They work just as hard as we do, trying to keep up with everyone's health and SP.

I'm not totally against leeching, but I don't really like it when say, a level 25 joins a level 40 party (read: Shinoda Hell). At that point, the person is just a liability. If they're hit by any straggler mobs, they're instantly down. But if a straggler starts attacking someone close to the same level, they can just take care of it themselves, so that's fine by me. I also refuse to be in a party where if someone dies, they just don't get up at all (even at the beginning) because they want full exp. I want to be in a party where, if in a sticky situation, everyone doesn't bail on you and actually helps out, even if just a little.
