While it does not apply for the older japanese version of the game, its normal for any mmo to lost ton of players after the official launch when the hype go down. Nothing wrong with that, if cyberstep staff is not too stupid they must have taken this into account.
That being said i wonder if the stupid carrier/leecher system is not a problem that make the players quit the game way earlier than they should have done. When you get high lvl quickly, without even playing yourself, to find that you dont even know how to play properly (because you dont learn how to play only watching) and that you have already what you wanted anyway (being high lvl... and thats all), how the fuck are you supposed to stay longer ?
For my part in nearly two month of playing solo, testing each weapons to see which of them i refer, taking my time reading the scenario, not asking a high lvl to do all the work for me, i still have to see the end of the sheryl quests and my max lvl is 35. I still have a ton of things to do and i sure hope the game is not gonna go down before i do them all. All that because i prefer to take my time enjoying the game without caring of rushing the lvls quickly, a lesson i learned my previous f2p mmo that is more enjoyable at low lvl than it is at end game.
Some basic stuff like not being able to remap your keys is a problem too. One gaming friend of mine didnt stay long on Onigiri because its kinda not practical to have to press a key that is on the bottom of your azerty keyboard... to go up.
And they dont seems to listen when we are saying that more people would buy stuff if all wasnt in a nyankoropon lottery system. Well, if they get more money that way its fine for them, but for my part i prefer to be sure of what i get in exchange of my hard earned money, and i understand very well that some people could quit the game, frustrated to no being able to get what they want without spending a ton of money on it.
