I would assume so. I'm not familiar with ATI cards though. Try digging around in ATI's equivalent of the nVidia Control Panel (Catalyst, I think it might be called), the parts related to 3D settings in particular.

yeah, Ati Catalyst is the official ATI driver setting program, equivalent with NVIDIA Control Panel . While Radeon Pro is unofficial external control panel for Advanced User , equivalent with NVIDIA Inspector.

Problem i encountered just now : Radeon Pro unable run Onigiri past the launcher , somewhat with radeon pro setting on , it will just keep back to reload launcher when start button pressed instead entering the game.

setting aside the question why you use a tool for the advanced user when you yourself said that you are not an expert on the matter its still an interesting issue.

going by logic the tool does the same as the official drivers do and thus should be able to work with onigiri, too (yes, this is a very generalised description...).
why it does not work for you is pure guess work. maybe you could post the used settings and someone that uses the tool may be able to help you.

edit: wow, not checking the topic for a few days made me miss out on a lot of potentialy very fun conversations. dammit.
