Despite the sinking player base, the game could still get laggy with just a handful of player around.

...Had to redo this since the forums ate my first message apparently.

The amount of grinding in this game is stupid, and is what ultimately brought me away from it.

I don't like to be forced to grind stuff over and over just to be able to keep going in the storyline.

For a mmorpg so new to fail so soon after it's launch, it can be said that the current situation is brought in by questionable development choices.

The gameplay was good, but issues left and right (gambling, no trade, excessive grinding, cash shop-based economy) Just bring this game down. That shouldn't have happenned.

Being in the high 80s myself, your end game content comes to you with limiters often pushing you into something in which the next update can possibly screw you over. When the affinity cap reaches 4k, I'm quite sure players can start doing dungeons with mere +50 weapons at about 10 levels below the recommended level. At 3k affinity, getting to floor 50 of an aritama usually requires a party of at least 3 people, and at least 3 good +100 weapons to complete. It's not easy, but the effort spent into doing it, this is where the average player would usually conclude, the next update should fix this.

Working up from a solo to a carry, sure I can choose to level fast, but once you're able to equip the highest level weapon available through identifying, that is a good time to take it easy with 1 hour login boosts. If you're ambitious, go smith a weapon in which the recipe is either found as a drop or in the aritama or even available through leveling Yoshitsune. If you're worried about the player base sinking, I think you should move on another MMO that will feed your social cravings (or addictions).

By the time a player has 4k affinity, they MUST have already reached Lv 110. The affinity cap works in a way so that, for every level past 100, you can gain 100 more affinity. This system is already in place, and working, as can be seen from the screen shot below.

Hence, this will not really be "fixed" as its practically impossible to get to 110 without being able to carry yourself first.

All that it points to is to wait for Edo so that reaching 100+ is easier. In the high 80s, the amount of hours to put in would be equivalent to almost a week unless you game at least 4 hours a day (this doesn't assume the usage of exp potions).

Even with Edo, its still, unfortunately, quite obnoxious to hit the high 10x's.

As soon as you hit 100, the amount of exp that is required for another level spikes severely, and continues to do so for every additional level.

Acceptable, but we would agree that the experience in Edo is greater than what we currently have.

For sure, but it does come with a downside. The dungeons there are significantly more difficult. Players may experience difficulties carrying solo hell modes without several +100 weapons, as the monsters are not only much tankier than what we have now, but the dungeons are also like 20 minutes long, taking into consideration that Sado is only like 14 minutes long.

Note that this is knowledge that I've received from speaking with people, and not from my own experiences.

Also note that the english server mobs seem to be nerfed, so it may not end up as difficult. Can't know for sure until we get the area, but it seems leeching will be significantly less prominent/accepted, if not completely impractical in 5 man hell parties. This implies that a large portion of the player base interested in leveling may be locked out of the most efficient spot.

As long as the high 60 weapons can still due a fair bit at Edo (quite sure it'll almost fall flat unless it is a minimum +80), I think it can survive. However, I do believe that the game should be difficult, yet not limiting. Simply put, organized and playing as a team (somewhat), than to be caught in the one man army for the team.

+100 Genobuster (92 spear) can barely 1 hit mobs in solo hell.

My +100 Geno literally does double what my +100 Dragon spear (Lv 80) does.
