I read that for high damage element boosts are needed as a wind wand user the new event is offering wind mastery my question is how good is wind damage in the game like can i rely on scoring high damage with 200 or so wind and 400 skill force even against enemies with wind resistance?

Yes, you are correct. I have not used wands as extensively, but wind is a pretty good choice between the new event mags' dark/wind/lightning. Kamaitachi, is a very spammable skill. Like Hellfire, it's nice to run through dungeons with. Still, it depends on which mob you're fighting against, so might be good to have secondary elements to back it up.
