So I want to hear from all my fellow Onigiri players about which weapon you think is the most OP. Of course I would love if you also stated why you think that so anyone who reads can understand where you are coming from.


In my opinion Spear is definitely the most best weapon. Since the attack scales off Vit, you gain attack,hp, hp recovery, magic defense and physical defense...It gives you everything you need~ It make be slow but it makes up for that with its wide attack range, allowing you to hit multiple mobs

Oodachi.

--Easily out-damages all other dex/mind/wis weapons at the same level.
--Makes it seem like Support and Tank characters are a waste of space due to literally one-shotting anything that is not a boss.
--Same stat effects two additional weapon types (Axe and Sword) giving them a broader selection in general skill-wise.
--Has about the same reach as a Spear, so negates one of spear's two supposed benefits over Pow weapons.

Bow

You're untouchable.

Pow > Dex > Vit > Mnd = Wis

Power weapons like oodachis, sword, axes have high enough power to kill stuff before they're even a threat.

Dex has bow which is safe of course and dual blades, which are strong. Both of them I think are slightly lower damage output than power.

Vit weapons are more defensive but they sacrifice damage output. Which is fine but the longer fights means that you're more likely to take damage.

Talismans for mind have potential but they're really limited by sp so they're pretty down there until they get levels unlike power and dex which are good from the beginning.

I haven't tried staves but I haven't seen much. Plus its more of a support type tier

Odachi.

The skills on this beast just nukes a ton of HP from most mobs and bosses. Combining that with a "hit and run" strategy makes full power users just godly.

Odachi good for killing mobs but in boss killing it meh and it need a tons nigiri due close combat. Bow is strongest for killing boss but hard in killing mobs due single target

Getting some interesting responses here, seems most people think odachi is the best, but when adding stat points, doesn't it increase the amount of attack the same for every weapon? like stat points in power will increase attack by 20 but if put into vit or dex, it will also increase attack by 20

Since I'm that guy who's always in the gray area, let me put this into perspective:

There's no such thing as "Strongest weapon", because depending on what kind of skills you have on a weapon (As well as how strong your weapon is and how many stats have you allocated to add more to the weapon's power), it's easy to say that if such weapon suits your build and the situation you are in right now, you can use it to your heart's content.

I kinda screwed up my build on my main by putting POW/DEX equally (with occasional VIT's here and there), but then I found some DEX weapons that have the necessary skills to get me through dungeons on solo, even if I have mistaken stats.

So in the end, my setup has one axe, one twin blade, and two bows:

> The axe is a placeholder for the skill "Fierce God's Focus", which grants 100% crit chance on the next hit.
> Twin blades have skills that do very decent burst damage against single enemies, but I also use this to clear crowds due to their swift attack animations and multi-hitting skills.
> First bow is also my crowd tapper because it has a splash damage skill that kills mobs with a single or few hits. I pretty much switch around between my twin blades and this one depending on what type of enemy I face.
> The last bow I don't use unless I'm in a boss fight, in which by then, I use the axe's Fierce God's Focus and this bow's Collapsing Arrow to OHKO them (or kill them within 2-4 hits while in a safe distance)

Anyway, no one has to follow this example, but I've pretty much been soloing the whole game with that setup. I'm not gonna say it's effective either since I know there are other ways to win the game.

@Kori: POW only increases the attack of Oodachi, Axes, and Sword. And this is coming from a guy who screwed up thinking POW + DEX will make twin blades/bows powerful. I also think POW adds some points into your HP and Physical DEF, but that's just me taking an educated guess.
