almost no one from naruto, one piece, or fairy tail uses a sword, bow, or any type of skill set similar to what is available in the game. And just saying final fantasy is hardly specifying what you want seeing as final fantasy is a huge franchise with various movies and a large assortment of games out. Also, naruto, one piece, fairy tail, and bleach are/were stretched out so much that they are effectively all filler and no content. And yes, I did feel the need to rub my opinion in your face.

What weapons the characters from the anime use isn't exactly relevant to someone's desire to dress like that character in a game where the weaponry is different. It isn't as though they'd be implementing the characters, just their clothing, if that happened. There are other games where popular anime hair and clothing have been brought in without existing skill sets that hold a resemblance to what those characters actually do. Though mostly, this was done overseas, because copyrighted material is handled differently there.

Copyright would be the main concern regarding implementing anything of this nature. You'd be more likely to see something like this happen in Japan or Korea, unfortunately, than you would in the US release of a game. Though it has happened, so don't feel too discouraged ^.^

It is out of place if you try and implement some weird pirate gear and a straw hat from some stretchy arm dude onto one of these chars. Everyone knows the reference and it just doesn't fit in. At least with Bleach it would make sense because all of those peeps use swords n shit

I'm not saying that the developers shouldn't use their discretion when choosing which anime or other video games to take content from, should the option become available. For instance, heavily modernized clothing wouldn't fit the current look of the game. At least in my opinion, and from what I have seen so far. Though if it became available, I wouldn't really care.

I would think (and hope) that the developers would draw the line at certain clothing styles to preserve the feel of the game. But if an outfit from an anime or game would fit in, and that character doesn't use weaponry we have available here...? I don't see how it's disruptive.

I have no idea what content is planned for this game, but from prior experience in MMO's that provide clothing variety, you are going to see a lot of stuff that will be out of place in the game, regardless of whether it comes out of an anime or not, simply to cater to a wider audience. For instance, in Perfect World, where the game has no modern themes or settings...you can ride around on a motorcycle and wear jeans and a t-shirt, with no reasonable explanation in the worlds story for why this is so (At least I haven't found one yet.)

I'd just be very surprised if this game doesn't head in the same direction with some of it's content sooner or later.

Kyoto does have air conditioners on buildings, and an internet cafe. So, I think there are already some modern-esk things in the world. But at the same time. I want what ever they add to fit the style of the game. And not necessarily become "cos-play your favorite anime character". Though that being said, I wouldn't mind people being able to do just that, I just would rather not have it.

Agreed. There is an opening for modern-esk clothing, I'm just hoping they'll maintain the fantasy element and Japanese feel, should they come into the game.

If they did bring in clothing from other anime and games, it would be nice to have them re-colored or redesigned so that they only bear a resemblance to the anime they came from, rather than actually being a cosplay. Though I don't mind cosplay either. I like it when people have many options available to them.

I'd personally love to see some anime and video game hair styles come into this game, the way they did with Aion. Not just for cosplay purposes, but for variety as well. Plus it's kind of fun to see what people do when they mix and match things, and choose different hair colors.

It would definitely be interesting seeing anime clothes (hell I would probably buy some) but it cant be easy to get things like that for the EN version of the game. Then again CS is in charge of both the JP and EN versions so who knows that might make it easier for them to bring anime events/clothes/whatever to our version.

Also I am disappointed in you OP. If your going to suggest anime to take stuff from at least suggest GOOD and not OVERRATED anime. On a serious note though trying to use something from shows that are REALLY popular like One Piece or Narutard would most likely be very difficult/very expensive so even if we DO get anime crossover stuff in our version I wouldn't expect to see it happen with big shows like that.

Ok First off Alot of people have been dissing certain anime like "Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Fairy Tale, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan" Aswell as some others. I don't really care too argue what people rate as "Good/Cool" or "Retarded/Stupid" Because people like/dislike certain things and The fact is i like all of the above listed anime. And Lots of people i know and have seen like it aswell. Now back on topic. It's true this thread was talking about "ANIME CLOTHING" Not "ANIME WEAPONS" So if CS decided to implement such things All of the above listed anime Would apply and be available. Expensive? perhaps depends on what clothes they decide too make and how much detail they want too put into that outfit Or the system itself(Using Perfect World as Example, Some outfits were WAY more detailed then others. And some were pretty glitchy. Animation or Coloring wise). Now. Could they do it?.. YES. Copyright issues?.. Not so much. As an Admin to several Private Servers and Servers on UT,G-Mod,Wolfenstein,GunZ. ETC. Aswell as being a Dev(Mainly Virtual Designer) myself. It all depends on how they do it. could they add hair with hats or a new spot for hats and make the first one a "Straw Hat"? Of course they can! there is no copyright on straw hats. Should i go farther? on the game Aika Online there is a NPC in the Desert "Demir?...."(Can't remember the name) it's a lvl 25/30 spot. and there's this old farmer guy. He speaks like luffy and his name is Rather similar too. Have they been sued? i don't know. But they are still running. There are plenty of other games with the same reference.

But i agree that they should try their best too keep the same theme. Sure there's bikinis and other things. And they may add sunglasses or "Specticals" or whatever, But the main clothing should be Japan based Primarily Old Samurai times when "Youkai and Oni roamed free" and there are plenty of anime revolving around that time. such as "Rurouni Kenshin", "Nura rise of the yokai clan" Aswell as others. And they can add outfits like the ones they have on bleach(Basically atleast) Like the black or white version of the Shinigami outfit(probably need altered slightly to fit the theme) And the assassin type like what Yoruichi and Soifon wear. Naruto outfits... Eh even tho, Those are like "Ninja" outfits they don't really fit atleast in my apinion. Something more realistic like what the Ninja use in Rorouni or Nura Would fit better. One Piece The clothing more or less fits. the stuff is simple Robes and stuff, sure some looks more Egyptian then others but still. Fairy Tale.. Some outfits would work i think but not all of them probably(i'd have too think on it more). SAO? I don't think Metal Suits of armor fit. And the daily clothes don't fit either. BUT Speaking of daily/Modern clothes. I could see them adding Normal School Uniforms "School Girl Outfits" and "The Male Black/Blue Outfits". Attack On Titan?... REALLY?.. Those uniforms don't fit at all ._. The Normal Civilian outfits tho? Perhaps but it seems more Old Europe style in my apinion. And they aren't that special just rags and tattered clothes mostly.

Also they already have a coloring system for hair and eyes etc. didn't look at the outfit section(I was too busy lvling and what not too pay attention too the diamond tongue flipper) But they could add a coloring system too clothes aswell or certain outfits which would make them more unique.

I think that about wraps it up. o=o
