Based on the fact that Minamoto no Yoshitsune lived in 1159 - 1189, the timeline doesn't match when guns would have been introduced in Japan. The earliest would be 1200's, and they didn't become popular until the black ships came arrived around the mid 1500's.

Considering that according to Kaguya there is a interweb cafe. lets not forget the train station in onigashima and isn't benkei a robot?

But I for one would rather not see a gun beyond Kaguya's

Maybe some crazy jerk use timemachine and bring modern stuffs along to that time , floating Kyoto sound impossible
