In CBT the exp rates were 1/10th but later increased to 2/10th of the exp rate that is currently in JP. For OBT will we have the same exp rate as JP?

I personally like the lowered EXP rates (at least for the beginning portion of the game). Otherwise you'd have Kishinden as a ghost town with the game population spread out everywhere.
1/4 would be a reasonable rate, I think.

I am really really really hoping its like JP if not greater exp rate
I like being overleveled for dungeons/able to use my weapons faster
Also hate having to grind at low levels, I would like to reach cap (10x) within a month

Agreed, don't like when the game prolongs for more than a few months on solely just capping that level. Since the main point of online games is to gear up yourself, which takes quite awhile to(not sure about this game, i've yet to try this one).

I'm in the low exp camp. Not like clearing Kaga will need the level cap, and I have no interest in hitting the cap quickly regardless. Conversely I want Weapons, Friendship Items and Magatama to be easier to get, so that it's easier to experiment.

If they can't make exp whole then I'll be okay with 5/10 rate. I like the game but i don't like being under leveled because i refuse to grind. Especially with how cheap and op some mobs are. The moment you mis time a dodge you instantly regret it because your so under leveled. I'll be okay with grinding near cap but at the start of the game it will be easier to make people stop playing out of boredom of spamming the same dungeons about 50 times just to level and keep up. Either that or be under leveled and under geared.
At 5/10 i think it won't have people leaving so quick because they no life the game and hit cap within a week, but it won't have others leaving due to extremely slow growth throughout the game.

I have kinda mixed feeling about this. Most Alpha players and some Beta players are hardcore farmer who would reach 100 lvl anyway
But then it would create a wall between the hardcore community and the casual one
If the exp remain the same it'd be very likely that we'll really see official players hatin' on beta testers.
And suddenly the log out button get glitched again

Oh snap! Onigiri turns into SAO for the second time!
5/10 exp is okay. Don't want to hit cap too quickly 'cause back when I was playing a newly released MMO years ago, I hit cap in less than a week and never played it again until recently.
Question though: What level is our cap for official release? (Not the place, it's been mentioned that it might be Kaga.)
