There was a sudden announcement that the server was gonna restart or something in 10 minutes due to the high server stress. Lol, I thought you guys should have figured this out during the beta periods? I wonder how long this is gonna take.

So we have to wait for an additional 30 mins or so. Well, lets hope adding new servers/channels will get rid of that annoying lag at the spawn area.

well to be fair it's always like this for open launches. as far as i've seen the game ran smooth everywhere BUT the actual starting point up the stairs. just my observation though.

It's to be expected really, but yeah they should have anticipated this. And yes, its just at that area that lags like hell.

They had 10 servers in beta. Why would they think that for an official launch they could get away with 5?

Nah, I could brute force through it, though I dropped to about 5 FPS. The server can handle it - our clients can't because it appears there's no limit for the number of entities that can be drawn (so it attempts to draw every player, meaning POLYGONS EVERYWHERE).
