Real Life Economy Based?

Postby Mewtwo » 02 Jul 2014, 13:40

Hi,

I was just wondering, is everything on this game based on real life currency? I noticed there are no NPCs to sell junk items we don't need, the fact that there is no trade system, and all of the "bazaars" only sell items for real life money, known as onigiri coins.

So is the economy based around this game revolve on the purchase of onigiri coins? Or does ryo actually become more useful later in the future?

Miroku is the merchant Npc of the game that'll sell basic food, etc. However the main purpose of the expanding amounts of Ryou is to dump them all on weapon upgrades/titles (Almost feel like this is an understatement to how much ryou is eaten to do these things)

pretty much, and the funny part is, no one is buying anything which makes bazaar worthless, lmao. The way the developer should have done it, is that for every time they spent on a cash item, they are rewarded with tradeable currency unless they choose to purchase those currency themselves. This way, it is does not feel like it is a lost to the cash players. Whether it is accepted by the English community is another issues.

At least base on my experience working in the field, what is acceptable is often different in different cultures. So what works in one culture, does not necessary work in another culture.

I know right... I don't think anyone is buying these weapons until they find a really good one. Especially when the fact is that people are getting desperate to make it cheaper and cheaper since who is willing to spend money on low level equipment. The one way people can make it through this economy is by selling the best equipment that is worth willing to spend real life money on.

Hopefully they make a change to this economical situation in the official opening.

People aren't buying because of how fast the market is fluctuating. The relative value of an item drastically diminishes per hour of gameplay.
