What's the difference between a Shuriken, Star, and Fan labeled weapon?

Although I can't say the specifics the Japanese classify them as blue (rarity 3), red(rarity 4), gold (rarity 5) with gold rarity weapons usually having better natural stats in a particular weapon level ranges. (for example lvl 20-30 weapon range) The grade can be pretty random so I personally don't know whether rarity effects weapon grade or how by how much assuming it does affect it. Speaking honestly the importance of the weapons can be interchanged as skills will eventually take much more priority over base stats alone as long as it's within a certain level range.

TL:DR (seriously me?) But basically based stats and rarity (obtaining it) are the main differences between the 3 rarity symbols with little differences that may exist in between.
