What title says. The exp rate should be increased. I am lvl 20 i reached this with mostly grinding. I did all possible quest. I have only quests left that require me to get a drop from a mob which probably have <5% of drop chance and the exp is not even worth it. This wasnt becoming a problem untill the zone after the 4headed dragon boss. Mobs started to hit like trucks. In Izumo if those flies manage to catch you 4v1 you are pretty much dead because even if you dodge you would take damage becase there are no invinciblity frames during dodges. Exp rate needs to be highter. I know there are hardcore grinders out there and i know there are people who hate grinding. Right now i have to grind to at least 21-2 in order to stand a chance in the 2nd dungeon in Izumo. And the grind isnt like 2-5 runs and bam you lvl up. It takes 10+ even 15+.

Dark Souls series are easier than Onigiri.

Most people make the mistake of raw attack power instead of skillforce and/or wep affinity, keep in mind that raw attack is a FLAT rate while the other two are SCALING rates

Ex.Im a lv36 MMND mage with 2.1k attack and only 1 +200 magatama, explain this. It is simply because I have 90% staff affinity on my other magatamas and a +20-30 wep. So my attacks on a lv42 monster in kyoto hell still do a respectable 3-4k dmg and my normal does 500 [keep in mind I am a HEALER with PURE MND]

As for tanking, i wouldn't recommend it unless you got a buffer, even the best vit builds and ohkos get raped instant with one mistake, its better to just go in there and get things over with asap

I wonder if the exp will stay like this? Unless you are using 400% boosters and you grind 24/7 you are going to have a bad time. Not everyone can play like 10 hours a day grinding non stop. I still dont understand why they reduced the exp THAT much.

Odd. I killed Beelzebub on lvl18 with nothing but an Oninodachi with crap rank I and II skills o.o

It's all about reading your opponent. You don't rush them and blast a ohko. You can only do that when you have the level and gear. Just be patient, and keep on counterattacking on the openings the mobs uses.

The real grind starts at Kyoto, where you are forced to do your side quests then grind afterwards so you could actually not die.

I just got in Izumo and fought those flies. Dude that was nuts.
But after using Tab to lock on them and using my super duper Great Bow +30 I dealt with them like darumas.
Everything is pie when you learn how to deal with it. I died so many times in Tiamat until I realized how I had to fight against it, just had to take some distance and Rapid Shot it when it ran, then it was pie. Those Aburamashi creatures were also insane until I realized bows killed them easily, and... whoa... the secret is simple:

Use Bows.

If you are a melee character then it is as follows:
1 - Don't block, never ever in your life block, game is too laggy for that sadly.
2 - Hunt their backs, if they look at you you're dead.

If you are a magic user:
1- Get First Aid.
2 - Never go pure Wis. If you went pure wis remake your character or deal with it.

No. There's plenty of power/vit or as you call them, "Melee" users who have no issue with them. You're just doing something wrong when you're fighting those. If you're just trolling, I commend you. If not... try again.

They just aren't your trivial thing, let's be honest here. Tiamat if you're not a pure power build you shouldn't dare to get close, you will die. Actually let's not say power here, let's say "Pure Build" that have insane damage overall.
But for real, going for an Aburamashi on melee? They are so annoying with teleporting and fire blasts, seriously go ranged on them.
And those flies? I just tried killing them with spears, honestly, stopped being idiot since I had a bow around and shot them down.
You need serious skill going on melee sometimes, and blocking... I lag a lot, it's useless most times.

That's why I use spear as melee, it pushes enemies around, has a lot of AoE damage, does the job fine without getting hurt. And when I can't get close at ease? Just shoot them.

Try running a circle around the musca and waiting for it to come to a stop first. They pause for about a second and a half after they attack if it isn't one of the rare times they're going to do 3-4 in a row. It's enough time to lightning slash/lunge step/water dragon spear/whatever skill you have.

With Aburamashis, again, run in a circle until they finish their attack then attack them then.

You're probably trying to bum-rush and kill them before they kill you which isn't what you should be doing early on. Wait until you start hitting 1.2x the max hp of the mob consistently to be rushing mobs.

Blocking has a delay, not lag. It takes about a second after your character lifts up their weapon to block to actually be considered blocking. You need to predict, not react, with blocks.

Something isn't being done right with pure wis builds right now and I'm not sure what. I have yet to hear of a single pure wis build user who hasn't had some form of mana issue or damage issue when they get near the mid game.

Also about rushing. Well, I dont. I actually plan a lot my movements, so in overall I don't have issues.
But again I'm using lance and bow. When I had a pure Power class with Axe and Katana (I used those only) well... I have to be honest, I had some problem dodging some things (that I wouldn't have with what I have now).
