Cure VII is bugged and scales terribly compared to old ranks. If you have a skill card with it, just hold on to it but don't use it.

It just requires more mind.

How much MND would it require to be effective then?

70

Happened to me too, didn't have enough Mnd so healing skills that were higher ranked only healed 10hp.
But when I added more Mnd to match the rank, it started becoming more effective.

Ah, I see! Thanks for clearing that small misunderstanding up.

Since we're talking what makes a skill effective. Can anyone tell me how Unbreakable Aura works?

Being a hybrid of dex/mind, I keep my mind equal to my character level. I find that ( mind / 10 ) round down is the highest rank that I should use for support skills, and it works great when soloing. I don't know what the guideline that other healer uses, but I find rank * 10 level works quite well, and if lower, your ability drastically suffers.

Even though I go hybrid, I won't suggest anyone to go hybrid since your damage/ability really gimp your character, causing you to really be equipment dependent early in the game.

Healing skills scale significantly with higher skill force/affinity
Buff Skills (Unbreakable, strike, and yes invigorate) scale with mostly your raw attack

for example, my cure VII heals for 4k when im just using a lv 19 staff at 57, simply because I have maxed affinity and 75-80% skill force
I'm still testing a theory about how strike boost and unbreakable work, they both obviously scale with YOUR attack stat (this can be proven via invigorate) ,however I feel theres 2 parts to this skill as buffing a person lv 60 is different scaling then a lv 5 (the level 5 wont get 5-7k dmg bonus like the level 60 for example). I'll look more into it

That's what I'm baffled by. I tested the def buff on our spear user tank and he did not notice a difference when getting hit or see any changes in his phy def stat. I just hope it's not bugged.

I also tried this I have Unbreakable Aura IV, right now it's still level 7, and the person I gave the buff doesn't notice the difference.

Is it buggy or the difference is so small that it's unnoticable, or I have to level it up till max to get the buff 'works'?
