CS: Later 4 Your Issues / Your Onigiri Substitutes Please

Postby Deeon » 26 Aug 2014, 13:44

My fresh email from Origiri regarding my ticket on the recent spate of update crash issues:

*This is an auto-confirmation email.

Dear Player,

Thank you for contacting us.

If you reported a malfunction in the game, we cannot address it at present,
but we will look into it in order to improve the service in the future.
Thank you for your understanding.

Otherwise, we will respond to your issue as soon as possible by sending you an email
to the address that you've mentioned.

Note: Since we are closed on weekends and holidays, we will be unable to respond to any inquiries after 7:00 on Friday until at least the next week.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your cooperation to make our service even better.

Contents of the Inquiry
--------------------------------------------------
Game : OnigiriUS
Inquiry Type : Bug/Error Report
Time of Occurence : 2014-08-20 11:00
Place of Occurence : Error report of Yukata Festival Update Bug
Frequency of Occurence : Often

==============================================================================

Since Cyberstep isn't addressing the "malfunction" that's literally booting people off from playing the game until their "future" versions comes around but is only helping to hemorrhage their player base, and since I can't even get into the game anymore with my character without crashing right out of the gate, I welcome recommendations from you all for Onigiri lookalikes or playalikes, preferably playable on PCs. Please don't discriminate game sources. I welcome all to get my game fix. Thanx!

That's one ominous flag.

It pretty much states that for whatever reason they're relegated the US version to the far back burner and it's time to move off the Titanic. A bloody shame. This game had much going for it in theme and culture. I hope someone else picks up the ball.

Post your query at mmorpg.com, mmohut.com and mmo-play.com who'd best know like games to recommend, and who predicted this fiasco a while ago. Like them, I've long suspected that Cyberstep doesn't actually develop games itself but contracts out to Taiwanese or Korean production houses which background projects like Atelier, which explains Cyberstep's lack of creative pride and slack response to even correct fatal bugs.

Again a bloody shame and join you out the door.

I'm fairly certain that your interpretation is incorrect, and it just means that they've put that there because its an automated message instead of a human reply.

You probably haven't noticed, but there's a huge amount of suggestions implemented based on complaints that come exclusively from the american side.

This is getting ridiculous. I don't get how people can misread so much the message.

Let me reword it a bit :
If you reported a bug in the game, you cannot reasonably expect us to have it fixed immediately but we acknowledged the issue and will work to have it fixed (at an undetermined date)

The meaning is the same however my version is not a professional way to write it.

Thing is, some people truly expect a bug they reported to be hotfix in a very short time frame. And that's not not possible, because either the bug takes a lot of time to correct, or simply you have to wait for the next update. Hotfixes are to be avoided in general. But most of the time the main reason is that bugs are not all easy to correct, even minor issues.

I highly doubt that they ignore the issue preventing people from logging in. No matter how bad you think of Cyberstep, reality is that company where people are 100 % incompetent and lazy don't exist. In fact, even thinking of them as the most greedy company or whatever, it still wouldn't make sense to not acknowledge the issue as they lose money on it. And you can always count on someone, usually a higher-up, being unhappy about losing money, with the consequence of putting pressure on the workers to fix it asap.
