Hmm i started playing onigiri today and i find myself unable to complete any quest now i got to lv8 somehow and the quest boss just like 1 hits me atm my quest is to clear ooyama residence COULD anyone post some kind of guide for newbie's like us? ive tried looking for lvling tips and cant find it and no one seems help haha pls dont bash im just a newbie asking for some help

Well, you can solo at your level though. Just PUT your points in ONE stat, don't distribute until you reach affinity of that weapon (I learned a hard lesson about this ;_; ).
Vitality for Spear.
Power for Sword,Odachi and Axe.
Dexterity for Twin Sword and Bow.
Wise for Wand
Mind for Staff.

Anyway, this game just feels like an offline game with multiplayer option so if you are not in channel 1 it will be like ghost town. .

No leveling tips, you will only need to grind grind grind. If you need mags, you can either buy via coins or finishing quests which take a bit more effort and sometimes a friend to help.

1st grinding spot : Kishinden
2nd grinding spot : Byakkou Hell
3rd grinding spot : Shinoda Forest
4th grinding spot : Secluded Forest
5th grinding spot : Echigo Estate or any other place nearby like Grotto, Plover are famous hunting spot.

See now what you wanna do here is,
go walk around in channel 1's preferably in your starter town or roam to other towns find some high level hope to god they speak english and ask them for some assistance normally high level players don't mind helping you with leveling / questing. Well that's just what happened to me I was lucky to I know you are as well

Try to use the block and dodge functions.

3 eyed sumashi is indeed a pain, but if you focus more on being defensive, and poking him whilst you can, I'm sure you can beat him~

If you use spear, it's one of the easiest boss out there. Use an Ice Cedar Spear that has Ice Blossom IV and just spam that skill on that boss, while dodging. I don't recommend blocking since you still take in some damages. And it's easy to dodge the fireball of the boss.

With patience, you can easily own that boss. I played spear focused on VIT (no other stats) and won it very easily. If you want some challenge, play staff to beat that boss :p

Actually staff does decently well against the annoying teleporting mushroom heads. The casting delay and the speed of our projectiles tend to work in our favor since holy light is too fast to be dodged by teleporting (that or it follows through teleports) or chase blister which is so slow that the boss can teleport around twice before the projectile reaches him xD.

The real challenge is using a wand to fight him. You don't have a block so blocking his hits don't work. He teleports through half your spells (that moment when you throw 5 flamestrikes at him and he dodges 3 >.>) and then 2 shots you because you're squishy as heck.

Or, just use bows to reach him. Always keep distance and keep shooting.

Icicle Arrow V/VI/VII works best and you can shoot HIM from VERY FAR AWAY where he can't reach you.
