Best Bow/Twin Sword

Postby Yuu3 » 17 Sep 2014, 06:47

I've been saving up on skill cards and i thought maybe now would be nice to apply them. Wanted a good weapon to apply them to, but honesty? I suck at knowing which is better. So horrible at weapons that my lvl 35 character had been using a Greatbow(+10) min lvl 15, max damage 153, for a long while now. Still is, actually. Only recently have i changed to Ice Heavy Rattan Bow(+10) min lvl 33, max damage 310. I'm more concern for a bow than a twin sword tho. Any recommendations?

Here are the skills I have for bows:
Charge Shot IV
White Peacock IV
Poison Rapid Shot IV
Lighting Shot IV
Meteor Rain Shot VII
Lighting Flash Shot VII
Icicle Storm VII

Correct me if i'm wrong, is Charge Shot, White Peacock, Poison Rapid Shot better than the rest?

For twin swords:
Sunlight Sword III
Lunge Step IV
Twin Blade Slash VII
Crimson Cross Cut VII
Ice Spear Dance VII

Additional question about skill cards: Is it possible to extract them (Momotaru) after i apply it to a weapon?

I'm no good at RPG. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you'd help, it'll be very much appreciated.

I'm fairly sure the best bow you can get for your level would be Raijyoudou which is extremely easy to farm from flies(Musuka) in the Cave of Nakisawame(Izumo area.) Just make sure it has a high level requirement; the highest being 33. If you're fortunate enough to find one with Exorcist Arrow on it you can pair that with a sword/axe with Fierce God's Focus to one-shot your way through the bosses of Yakumo Temple. Pretty efficient leveling. Here's the one I used for single-target damage:

After that I'd suggest a Failnaught which can be farmed pretty efficiently from Gedoumaru's Hideout. It's another bow with Dex as a base stat so it should last quite a while.

Not familiar with twin swords so I can't offer much help there. You can extract skills applied with skill cards, but only up to rank 5. Those VII skills will be stuck on whatever you apply them to.

Smelt, smelt a lot :P
At the very least to +50 if you don't want to risk losing your wep or use smelting reset buttons. If you stick the skill cards on first and use skill evo every smelt, you should have rank V skills after the +30 smelt.

Well, you're lvl 35, at lvl 36 you can use the lowest failnaught which you might not like to waste a lot of stuff on. Save the skill cards for when you get a lvl 41 failnaught with a good grade. The dex+5 really helps out at that level so it's the best bow for a while.

Charge shot, good single target damage
White Peacock IV is good aoe for soloing, not sure about the dmg when carrying. ranks I-III are not useful.
rapid/poison rapid is... well, you're probably using it a lot. Good fast dmg.
Lightning shot IV is your other aoe, except you have to line everything up and the range is short for IV iirc
Meteor Rain Shot VII, uh.. can shoot through walls, kinda unpredictable. Good dmg if it hits
Lightning Flash Shot VII, this deals good aoe dmg and iirc, you don't have to line up everything as well as IV. You can carry with this.
Icicle Storm VII, great single target dmg, especially if all the icicles hit.

Well, if you want a carry bow you'd usually want lightning flash shot, rapid and icicle storm, but for soloing, the skills I'd want would be rapid shot V (through smelting), Icicle Shot/Storm and Rainbow Peacock V (again, through smelting). I prefer peacock to lightning shot because it usually doesn't require much or any luring so it usually gets you through dungeons faster if it can deal enough dmg to ohko.
-Well this is all IMO...

Sunlight strike, good dmg, might want to get to V, by smelting.
Lunge step, haven't used this in a while -.-" idk
Twin Blade Slash, good fast dmg, kills most things
Crimson Cross Cut, good fast dmg, kills most things :)
Ice Spear Dance, it does fairly good dmg but is relatively slow. If you really want to for fun you can lure things into a grouped ball and ice spear your way through them XD, this is risky though.

-same thing here, all IMO
as for the wep, might want to look at this

Well, this is assuming you've reached the content cap and lvled momo a fair bit/maxed. I'm guessing you can only extract rank 2 or 3 if you're at kyoto. But, yeah, rank VII skills will probably not be extractable for a while.
