Any idea how this guy can hit 903k damage on 5 man hell Satan? I thought i saw a glimpse of 940k also but too lazy to rewatch video for an SS.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHI25CT ... JVirtzG5rw

What insane ornamentation or sake is he using? cos he's averaging like 700k but the few times it goes over 900k omg lol.

PS. not sure if this should go in general section or guides. But answers are most welcome, i've started experimenting with axe so any help would be awesome. Thanks alot guys!!

Welcome to Onigiri weapon scaling imbalances.

That's not even the highest damage Axe is capable of. Power weapons are basically choosing easy mode.

And yet in our group, we have a bow user and a TS user that can almost out-damage our axe user. :3

At this point, you can really choose anything you want and still do more than enough damage (With the exception of staff, of course).

I'm going to assume it's Freesia, someone who used to be bow and really only had to work on pumping OC into a new weapon(assuming they kept their Grape/Melon Magatamas and such instead of selling them) compared to... I don't know, Rhythm? In any case I don't recall any notable axe users before so whoever it is likely worked from the ground up while Freesia had a strong foundation and very little work left. If the two people in question have comparable weapons/skill ranks/skill levels/magatamas/ornamentations I'd be somewhat surprised.

Major assumptions here of course. Entirely possible that I'm completely wrong in which case it seems like some balancing was done for the NA version and I'll retract my statement.

Compared to his Lv. 40 Meteor rain shot.

I have very good ornas, and a +100 105 gold weapon. Though, they aren't actually perfect and I plan to change that in the future.

For reference, my highest Satan crit with Asura is 600k. If I try to stretch my damage to the maximum....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW4IdfIiWdY

Actually, I forgot camillias, and had chidori in my fools, so technically, I didn't really stretch it as high as I could. Also, axe's damage has a huge range, and I know for a fact that 2.5m is possible for me at the moment.

With a 105 gold, these players have a maximum of 2k attack stat up on me at the moment. This attack stat would put me up to 700k crits as well - however, those would be my max damage crits (the bigger numbers). JP Players do that much with their min damage crits. Based on that, there is definitely some sort of difference in monster defense.

Attack stat for reference.

They do the same damage with asura, just one is using double edged cut.

@ Song

Something is probably wrong with your build if you can't hit at least half of this.

They also recently nerfed forgotten kings sword and took away its armor penetration, so keep that in mind.

Rhythm's gear, stats, and skill levels in general are way above that of Freesia's. Rhythm tends to crit around 500k while Freesia tends to crit around 45k 10 times = 450k. Even I crit close to 300-400k on Satan and I'm the weakest of our group right now.

Edit: Yes, Axe hits SLIGHTLY higher than other weapons. No, it doesn't hit THAT much higher.

Axe is actually rather annoying to play, because if you want the damage, you have to build for negative movement speed.

Although its just -15 or -20 depending on your build - its still annoying, especially against mobs that run away from you.
