Hello OniPlayers :D
Here is a idea/suggestion about drop lag issue or just a simple fix.

Well as you all oniplayers know,Drop spam in dungs are massive and they cause lag/drop of FPS,
they also cause some random buggs like(going into the wall, falling from the field dungs).

Here is a simple idea or suggestion for the Oni-managers/STAFF.

You guys probably saw this method in games like(Knight Online, R-O-H-A-N Online,Aion Online Etc.).Its the simple drop by "CHESTs"

Whats its "DROP by CHESTs"?
here is the answer.

Image
This example of "Aion online"

Well this mean, when you kill monsters it will drop a chest with all the items that he could possess.(Ryou,Materials,weapons,Etc.) and ofcs you will not click it to open and see whats inside, just keep your actual method of press E to loot everything(the chest).

By doing this you will minimize the spam of drops in dungs/field and decrease the lag for sure.

Hope this would atleast... make you guys think about it. And improve the OniPlayers experience of having fun into the game without lag problems

Any doubts about this or maybe a friendly comment would really help all of us.
feel free to talk to me in game too.

ign : Mikan-Chan

Thanks for having this space to let the OniPlayers comment and feedback to improve the game!! :D :D :D :D :D

See you around, OniPlayers Puhiiiiiii~~~~

While I agree that the way drops manifest in this game causes massive lag and many issues, I don't really want to see looting systems like those in Aion appear in this game, mostly because it slows you down to go to every single mob and loot it. (and half the time, the rest of the party will not wait for you to loot) Dungeon clear times would take a massive hit during events where you need to clear in under X amount of minutes. I also love the convenience of running through with the "E" key that lets me simply pick up my loot without stopping.

I think maybe a better solution would be to have ryou simply go into you're ryou count without being a physical thing that flies at your character in a massive gleaming stream of lag, with no action needed by the character. Instead the ryou count would go up and you'd simply see the system message that says you gained X amount of ryou.

As for items... that's harder. I've always wanted this game to have a "materials" inventory separate from the weapons/buffs inventory. Perhaps if items were no longer a "physical" object laying on the floor/on a mov they could also simply go into you're inventory upon mob death with no action needed by the character (Provided the items inventory was capable of holding an infinite amount, which I highly doubt cyberstep would be willing to do) And you'd see a system message saying what you picked up.

My idea is sort of a lazy solution and to be honest I don't really want to see the "Physical" items go (I like seeing them on the floor, and seeing the ryou, but I do realize it causes lag issues for other players) Maybe an option to toggle between seeing individual items or switching to an "auto pick up" system would be good?

I don't know. The only reason I disagree with the aion style looting system is because of how everyone seems so pressed for time when running dungeons in this game, and because half the time when I'm playing Aion the only time I'm really looting is when I'm doing PvE alone since no one really stops to loot unless its a boss. (Just my experience-it may be different where you play) Basically E key in this game lets me loot without worrying about slowing down my party.

Are you sure it isnt your computer that is too weak to handle the game properly ? I never did get problem with the drops, and surely not to the point of running into walls or falling somewhere. And this even with another game running into the background.

If it is acepted as an option to switch in the game settings, where you will choose between the actual drop system and your chest system, why not. But removing the actual system for this new one, hell no.

Number one reason : the actual system is fun. Seeing ton of shiny things flying from the mobs you defeated is fun. Having tons of sparkly things at your feet is fun. Seeing the rare item you were searching for finally appearing in the air is fun. Taking all that is fun.

Replacing that by a few chests that will look all the same ? Its gonna be boring to death. Thats the kind of thing i would expect in a slow paced mmo, not an action one where you are supposed to see things moving everywhere on your screen. When they did remove the new year's event letters i was like "aw, now it feels like i am not dropping anything anymore  ", i sure dont want to see the quantity of loot on my screen decreasing again.

Plus in certain cases i dont take everything on the floor, like if i am only farming weapons or searching for a rare item. How i am supposed to quickly see/take what interest me with your chest system ?

Anyway i highly doubt that the devs did go through all the hassle of making 3d models and nice graphic effects to remove all that.

Aion's looting system isn't exactly a "chest" it's a box that pops up when you loot a mob, and you see a small preview picture of the item along with it's name, and a description of it's stats when you mouse over. Then you either hit the "take all" button or you double click each item you want to take individually. Regardless I agree with you, I don't really want to see the items on the floor go (Though I'd like to see a way to toggle the item effects off for players with lower end computers) I just wanted to clarify what she means.

I'm sure my GTX Gforce 730 graphic card 8gb ram 1tb HHDD its enough but still lags a bit.....
but thats not the point here i know many people has this problem. so yeah...

Oh and To Sephiroth

I think you missed the part that i wrote about "Keep you actual method of looting Etc etc etc..."
not like aion lol just the "chest" part, but yeah you right thats sounds cool, an auto-loot just right after a kill would be awesome too . :D :D :D

Ok, thanks for the explanation. Well, thats even worse, if i did understand right this time that means there is nothing on the floor at all. As an ex-hack'n slash player i want to see ton of drops on the floor when i kill something, otherwise its not fun  But it can be sure a good thing for people having all these drops problems to have the possibility to switch to such a thing.

Maybe i am just lucky, i have kinda the same and no problems.

an auto-loot just right after a kill would be awesome too

I hope that i will not give bad ideas to Cyberstep by saying that on my previous game, the auto loot function is something to buy in the cash shop :D

I would suggest the creation of a "Max Displayed Item Drops" toggle bar. Seeing that a "Max Displayed Players" and "Max Displayed Bazaars" toggle bars have already been created to reduce lag within towns, I don't think creating one for items in dungeons should be too different or difficult. This doesn't mean less items drop. This means each individual player is given the option to easily change the amount of items displayed to best suit their gameplay.
For example, when I grind, I don't particularly care about the drops, so I could set the toggle bar to only show a few items to reduce lag. Or if I change my mind, and wanted to search for a particular item easier, I could toggle the bar back to the normal end of the scale to display more items and items further around me.
For those who don't quite understand, play around with the "Max Displayed Bazaars" toggle bar in setting while in Echigo.
Kaga on the JP server is extremely laggy with bazaars. (It's like the Echigo on the EN server but with like 5x the amount of people and bazaars)
