As the title says, it annoys me that i cant set my game to 1366x786 (the resolution of my monitor). Since i cant set it higher, theres always black bars on the side of my screen, and they still show up when i tab out.

I only have these options. However, if you see a 1280x720 option, use that. You should see either no bars or a bar that is only a few pixels wide at the tp and bottom.

The client has a bunch of presets, but annoyingly enough, but only the ones that your screen can fit will be displayed. Unfortunately, the game doesn't like your monitor's resolution.

Also, keep in mind that your game's resolution is connected to whatever GPU you have; higher end GPU will of course give you higher resolutions, while lower end GPUs won't yield you much. So the real limiting factor isn't the game itself, but the GPU that you're using.

Pretty sure that OP's monitor is more restricting than his GPU in this case. His resolution isn't uncommon for a laptop screen, especially if its a smaller one. (Note that higher resolutions are indeed possible, but many attempts to have higher resolutions on a small screen end up looking like junk, so its avoided.)

He can remove that restriction via OS but that's not recommended, your monitor WILL malfunction.

my gpu isnt limiting me, i have been able to use my monitors res any time a game has supported it, i just find it weird that this game doesnt support it.
