When I beat Dagger Peak I don't see a Gouentou anywhere. Where is it?

IF you got it, then it will be in your inventory. If you have no space, it will be in your storage. If you have no space there either, then it will be in your presents. If it's not there, you probably didn't get it.

^ as the above answer said, but if you want to know immediately the all chat should have a message saying that you got x ryou chest + weapon/magatama. this message will specify which weapon you've obtained, if any. If there's only a ryou chest message, which has a very high chance of occurring, then you didn't get anything besides a ryou chest (ryou chests are 100% guaranteed as long as you ss clear).

Additionally, I'm pretty sure you already know, but if you didn't you need to do a ss (nodeaths) clear to get even get a reward.

Ryou chests aren't 100% guaranteed, you can get an SS and get 2-3 magatamas. However it is a high chance of getting it.

Onto getting the weapon you intend to get, it doesnt matter which dungeon you get your weapon from. They come from all difficulties(well from my experience). you just need the time and patience to actually get the weapon yourself. Some takes hours, and days to get it. It will probably make you want to rage not getting the weapon, but eventually you will get it. Someday. Well until Musashi disappears from Onigashima.
