So I am new and not really impressed with staff.+Other Q's

So I am kinda new here and I was making a mostly mind (I put one level into wis so far) staff user, but I am not really liking it especally after I read more in these forums and find out that anyone can use the major buffs they'd want if they got enough mind. That and its realtivy low dps compared to other weapon types. So I have a few questions.

If you delete a chara do you get to use the name again right away? do they delete right away? or is it like most korean mmo's where the name is locked out for some stupid inane reason.

What weapon should I try? I heard if your going to use a pow or dex type daring is the best char type to use, since it only has a few power less than a Power type char. But more dex to make up for it.

I really don't know though how I am going to do in this game, there are times when I use holy light on my staff and the enemy gets hit before the spell even casts, seems like I got some lag.

As far as I know, you can, but is there a reason you want to do so instead of using the free stat reset (from Kyoto)?

Try a few and see what you like, I guess. I would suggest one of the pow weapons (axe, sword or odachi) and to pay attention the the magatama you can get from Bargains since magatama drop rates are bad.

I'm not sure if this is because of lag, but it's a good thing.

Spells will auto-hit if cast at specific ranges.

The same phenomenon can be observed with icicle arrow, blue fang blade, and many others.
