Returning player with questions

I tried this game back when the server first opened for a while... don't even know how long the server has been open at this point but yeah :\

I was thinking on trying it out again because I'm getting a break from university soon but wanted to ask a few things... I'm writing this as I think on what to ask so please bear with me on this lol xP

How alive is the game at this point? I should have a character by late level 20s or something, about to head off from the 3rd town(?) on the game... I just wanna know if it's still worth playing or if in general I'll be playing this alone. I don't have a lot of memories of playing this with other people on Byakko runs with a soloer (weird system that one btw).

Another question I have is that I remember starting a Twin Blade/Bow character with almost full DEX (since that's what I read was good for those weapons at the time) and a lil bit of VIT just to get the HP up slightly (it's probably useless but I didn't add much anyway). Is this build still viable? I can make a new character and start from scratch if it comes to that as I'm rusty as all hell.

Hi welcome back.

To your question, it is sort of relative. The game itself is still alive and CS is updating it regularly. People are still playing the game, especially because it is the 2nd anniversary with events and prizes. You will find players hanging around in Temporal Rift and Onigashima, which has been reworked.

Since you mentioned playing with others, there is a party recruit system now where players can list their parties for others to see, not just above their heads. Your best bet in finding players around your level is probably on weekends. There are also players making alternates, or have made the jump from PS4/Xbox. Or you can just power through since levelling up is not that difficult with the current content, partly because difficulty of dungeons in Normal mode have been reduced for solo players. Cost of identifying and enhancing weapons have also been reduced.

Not much has changed stat-wise. So a full Dex character is still very much viable. Plus you need to think of your secondary and tertiary stats anyway after your primary.

I would advise you to just check out the game, see if there is anything you like. You can ask anything here or in-game. There are several new GMs in the game.
