So how much is your company?

Dear Cyberstep:

Do you even care about this game? Actually screw that. Are you even present on here? Or do you intend to let the game rust without any actual update whatsoever as long as you continue to milk this pathetic excuse of an mmo to death?

There have been so many calls for improvements but I am afraid that every code monkey in Cyberstep is born without eyes or brain to process player feedback and request to prolong not only your game but your business.

There are numerous high quality feedbacks out here that have clamoured for reforms such as 'letting us choose the skill to replace' 'allowing clothes to be tradable' 'removing tradability restriction on special ougis' 'removing tax on bazaars' and 'fix your servers to reduce dc' etc. After for the infinite time on trying to get the right skill on the right slot on my weapon I have come to the conclusion CyberStep is not just greedy but completely unfit to compete in the gaming market on any platform. Regarding the issue of platforms, there is a complete lack of updates for console gamers which is practically business suicide considering how popular play station and xbox are.

It takes a lot for me to ask 'how much is your company?' But due to the fact you guys have focused so much on the pay to spin nyankoropon to the extent you neglected maintenance on maintenance day while at the same time still refusing to provide what your playerbase wants to stem the flow of players exiting your game, I think you guys have given up. You need a change of hands. Someone to actually buy you out and steer you in the right direction.

So I'm giving this a serious consideration. 'Just how much is your company?'

And the saddest thing is, you got an excellent game and a novel concept that mmohut dubbed along the lines of 'could have excelled' but you ruined it with greedy execution. And let's be honest here. Your game is a golden egg laying goose that is given by high quality professional coders and graphic designers because lets face it: The story, structure, gameplay and character models are a superb 10/10 for me. But all of that is a foundation laid by people who once worked for you.

I know enough about mmos to the extent that your company has rid itself of the original coders - maybe retaining only 5 to 10% original graphic designer and coders to direct the updates and server maintenance. The rest are low paid unskilled 'code monkeys' and low skilled graphical designers who just change the look of existent models to generate new ones. And hey, that is perfectly normal. Every mmo company does not keep the original software engineers once they finish coding the structure of the game - because once they have done that they have nothing else to do! Server maintenance? Okay, you only need to keep 5 to 10% and they don't have to be highly skilled software engineers for menial jobs like that. Let's face it: Even world of warcraft does that. Elder scrolls online is also not an exception. I even found the quote 'brought to you by the team behind elder scrolls online' in an advertisement for a completely different game by a conpletely different company.

So what I'm saying to you is: You are goddamn lucky to have highly skilled programmers and graphical designers give you an awesome foundation. But you are taking advantage of other people's hard work and ruining the gift they gave you. Let's face it though: I bet that team won't even care because they're already working on multiple other projects so the loss is really just yours.

Now, as I have mentioned before in another thread, the reason why I am here is to preserve the graphics of the models given to you by the original team that once worked for you. I could have chosen any other game to do this. But since it takes hours to model any one model depending on complexity I have decided to draw models of games that are slowly dying, because a) I can take as much time as I want with strong companies because I trust their game will still be available for me to draw models on no matter how long I wait b) There is less chance of me getting sued for 'stealing models' because the game is in decline and by the time I decide to go public with the graphics the game will be long gone and c) There is a high chance I can even buy out or generate a new game based on previous models if the original company's position is weak.

In other words, if any game company sees either 'Isometric Decoder' (my mechanical engineering nickname) or even worse 'Code Breaker' (a friend of mine who now lives in the States and is a professional software engineer) be warned - we feel your company is in a state of decline. In my case I'll preserve your models because I feel insecure about the longevity of the company. In my friend's case, the less said about him the better.

Signing out. I sincerely hope you really reflect on your execution of this game.

Any game that sees me should be worried. It means I am currently using 3D modeling software to copy their models in case the game will die.
