Indeed *creator* would pertain to *god* but since he said creator I take it he might not align himself to a religion, although there are other possibilities.. anyway yes it is a compliment if albeit a strange one ..

Well you heard now. It always is first time.) For me on a motherland the few sincerely believes in our God, therefore personally I prefer to use a term Creator.
