Stacking weapon skills

Would it be possible to stack duplicates of skill with the same rank on a weapon? I know you can have the same skills of different ranks on the same weapon but I'm talking about having say three RAPID POISON SHOT V or something like that, possibly by using skill cards or evolving RAPID SHOT IV on a weapon that already has RAPID POISON SHOT V.

Yes, its possible.

Also, poison rapid shot V does not exist.

Vaguely remember that skill alternating between poison and non-poison versions of it when it ranks up. Just using it as an example.

Were those duplicate spear skills there by default?
