F1-F5 buttons

I have a Windows 8 PC, and when I try to use a Item with F1 numbers, I can't use it because it keeps pulling the HELP Menu for PC. Is there a way to stop this so this game can become playable again?

did u try disabling ur action keys in ur comp BIOS?
