PLEASE HELP, LAUNCHER SAYS UPDATE FAILED PLS RESTART HE GAME

hey guys. I just finished downloading everything and i was playing for a few hours, then i just got dc'ed ....when i tried to run the launcher it was downloading updates and after downloading it always says update failed pls restart the game...its kinda annoying that for how many times ive dc'ed for the past hours i was playing i havent experienced any trouble, and now i restarted the client like 15 times already and still says. update failed


any1 expeienced the same sh!t? pls help me

Gawd! I can't solve mine too..

It works fine perfectly.. after I took a rest and off my desktop and then after I open it again it suddenly patch and it says
"Update Failed. Please restart the game" I already clicked so many times and run it as administrator nothing happens.. we need help

Having the same problem but after my download fail I restarted the launcher just fine and then it switched into all Japanese and finished updating then nothing happened...

Open the game client/ instaler/ Onigiri_USsetup again and choose Repair.

you game will work like a new.

I got same problem yesterday but i encounter that failed to update just 2x times then the 3 attempt the game is starting with a big patch that i end up download the manual patch then after the download then fix everything in the folder the game works fine to me

dont just only restarting the client... u should "restart" ur own PC to make sure of it.... and then run it "run as administrator"

i was sure i restarted my PC for more than 15 times..lol already did all the tips i found in the forum..still fail to update..

Okay, so I was checking stuff out since this was causing problems for me as well.

Apparently, the file that probably affects this error is the pkgstatus.json file. I'm assuming it's the file the launcher/patcher is trying to check to see if all the pkg files are there - which is suggested by its name and also the fact that its the only file that doesn't share a similar filetype. If it bugs out or is misread, then it will probably break.

Deleting the file causes EVERY PKG to simply disappear, and the launcher or client will simply redownload everything. Replacing the file seems to remove every other file that was not downloaded through the client (e.g. by copy-pasting from manual patch).

I dunno what'll happen if we are provided with the latest pkg file, because we don't know if our current version is the latest.
