Pixel Error/Crash

Postby Kusanagi Shiro » 02 Jul 2014, 21:52

When I'm in a town randomly my screen just crashes and all I see are just pixels. But it's only when I'm in a town, never out on the field. I have to exit out the game and reload it all over again. Sometimes it happens as soon as I log in and sometimes it'll go hours without doing it. Is there a fix for it or is anyone else having this problem? Any help would be appreciated. I have to reduce the file size of screenshot, If I can I'll post it.

The exact same thing is happening to me. Only in town, and never in the field. Unfortunately I don't have a solution, just sympathy. My friends think it might be a graphics card problem. I'm still running on XP, but Onigiri worked fine for me during the Beta. The only thing I can think of is that it keeps crashing because of how much there is going on in town, but I'm not sure.

I sent this message to Cyberstep, hopefully this will help. The more people that message them about this, the better.

Multiple players, including myself, having been running into an issue with the bazaar.

Anytime my character gets near a bazaar, my screen glitches out, forcing me to close the game using ALT + F4.

This glitch never happens when I am in a field or a dungeon, and almost never occurs when I'm in a section of town that isn't near a bazaar.

I played during the CBT, and had never ran into this error.

There are two forums discussing this issue, both of which include screen shots.

I think it's a problem with your video card. It probably doesn't have enough memory or VRAM or whatever. You should buy an expansion card or replace what you have if you have one. You could also increase your RAM for better results. I ain't no computer wizard though so... Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with one of your cards though.

Thank You! I see that you are absolutely correct. As soon as I get anywhere near a bazaar the screen goes nuts.

I'm 110% sure nothing to do with anything you said. Went to school for that kind of thing so I know when my equipment isn't up to par, but I do appreciate the input.
