Where did you get the download from? The main site, or another site? That might be a consistent reason right there (I've seen it happen with other games in the case of downloading the game client from anywhere but the main site). Also, it may be a memory issue, or simply an issue with the connection itself. Also, check your internet bandwidth usage levels and make sure you didn't somehow manage to reach an limits, as some ISPs have different limits between useage and downloads.
Now a few things to others.
1. EDIT: While the game is live, the localization is leading to a few bugs, some more problematic than others.
2. The EXP is deliberately low to minimize players from simply blowing through content and then waiting around for new content. A lot of the pay to buy items balance this out, as that is how Cyberstep can continue to fund its operations. The Japanese version might actually have some pay to play mechanic involved, as is common there. Many free to play games in the US which were localized from Asia are actually based off of using purchased time.
3. The most consistent problem I have had is server disconnection in dungeons. As I am usually playing late at night or early in the morning, this might be due to a number of different factors, including having fewer backup servers on to share the load and preferred time for hotfixes (fewer players affected).
4. Rendering and fps issues. I haven't seen many of these myself, but this is primarily a hardware issue. Check your hardware specs, update your drivers if necessary and also check to see how many background processes are running. Worst comes to worst, go to Best Buy and get some more RAM, or buy a new video card. If you are using an integrated graphics card, I would buy a new video card anyway, you can get one which is an order of magnitude better for fairly low cost and they lessen the RAM load. Also, keep in mind that the badwidth that Cyberstep has to work with is less than many larger MMOs. As the game grows, they can order more bandwidth.
