Cure II > Cure III?

Alright, so I've been running around as a tankhealer for a while, and I've just noticed this little quirk about the game that seems... off.

So a few hours back, I got my hands on a decent Oak Staff with Cure II available on it (I'm only still level 13, so yeah, I still run around with that kind of thing) - and it was great. Each use allowed me to heal for over 572 HP - so naturally I kept this Oak Staff and decided to upgrade it.

Upgrading went p well. I went with the Skill Evolution V artisan option, though, which meant that it'd increase the rank of whatever skill had the lowest rank on the weapon at the moment (Cure II) - which I thought was a good thing until I got Cure III.

Now, the skill details (in-game) DO inform us that Cure II has a base ratio of about 529, whereas Cure III has a base ratio of 788. When I tried this out, however, Cure III only heals for about 158 HP. I'm assuming that this was a mistake? Was Cure II supposed to heal that much, or is Cure III just munted?

For quite a while I was confused by how this works as well because I had an Oak staff early on upgraded to First Aid III and it only healed like 15 hp but used about 70 SP.

What determines how much a skill of the next rank heals you is the mind stat.
Not completely sure about the numbers, but I think healing spells only start to increase how much they heal when your mind stat is raised up by increments of 10. And the changes are significant too.
For example:
(Mind Stat = 10 -> First Aid II heals 15 HP for 45 SP which was the case for me whereas First Aid I healed 75 HP for 24 SP)
(Mind Stat = 15 -> First Aid II still heals about 17 or so HP at the same cost, First Aid I still better)
(Mind Stat = 20 -> First Aid II suddenly heals about 200 HP!)

It's kind of an unintuitive game mechanic, because there are sooo many factors that might make you wonder what affects how much a skill heals. Such as skill level, grade of the staff, attack stats, etc. And the in-game description of the skills doesn't help by giving you misleading stats about it!

basicially, if your not a healer with mind. your heals will heal for shit

if your like buisness, and you have cure 4 staff at 40%, and 36 mind. it heals for 1.2k.

but honestly, i still use heal 3 alot more than cure. thats more for omg, hes about to die, 20 hp left. CURE.

heal is the best option, and cure destroys durability.

and if you just equipt a staff with cure and its lv 0, it wont heal for much. need to spam that heal modo to lvl it.
