Loot

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it's the only place that seemed appropriate. I've been playing for a few days now and I've been wondering, how do you tell the good stuff from junk? I was thinking maybe the reddish bags were good stuff and the blue bags were junk, but some of the quests called for things that showed blue bags by the name and some called for the reddish bags. I'd like to sell the junk so I can't get some extra cash and know what I need to keep. Thanks for the help!

Basically, I personally say keep everything because almost every non-equip loot is used for quests because although blue blags are rare/usually quest items, white bags also sometimes/usually contains items used for quests. If your worried about selling the loot for extra cash, don't worry because the amount of spare cash from selling the loot really isn't worth the cost of potentially not being able to instantly complete a quest and dungeons will give you more money than you could ever get from selling anything.

Okay, thank you. That's all I needed to know!

However, holding on to stuff will eventually become a problem of sorts, especially for weapon/magatama collectors.

So far, Shizuka's storage only holds up to 150 item types (with each item type able to hold up to 999 amount) as opposed to the player's inventory which starts at 100, but increases by story progression via Partner system (but can only hold up to 99 of each item type). By the end of the Kyoto storyline, this will never be enough to hold all your junk/weapons/magatama.

Yeah that can't be helped, but if you're willing to pay attention to details then I suppose it would be safer to start junking loots that have already been used in 1/2 quests since it's unlikely that those that have already been used multiple times will get any more.

There will always be enough. Just max out your partner and don't literally hoard everything.
