Stall still open when not logged in

As the title says why is there a stall still open despite the owner of that stall is not logged in?
I was sending a pm to a player today and found out he's not logged in but he's stall is still up.
How's that even possible is this a bug?

It's a glitch. If players intentionally disconnect themselves during a very specific scenario, they can force a shop to stay open. Note that its also possible for this to happen without abusing said bug if a fatal error occurs.
