Genos take 3 boulders (1.5% drop rate from Oppy) per geno. Dragon Spears take one fruit (1.5% drop rate from Typhon) per Dragon Spear. Theoretically, each Geno is at least 3x harder to make than a Dragon Spear. The rest of Dragon Spears drops are regular blues and whites. Geno also needs one lively bulb (1.5% drop rate from Nyaruko) per Geno. Genos also cost more ryou to enhance and smelt. In the end, you could probably craft 4-5 Dragons for the same effort as a Geno. Therefore, a Dragon Spear isn't even close to as hard as a Geno is. Also... if you want to use approx 15 artisans per weapon to +100 it, feel free to. You can farm one Dragon Spear per hour. It takes waaaaay longer per Geno. Another reason Dragons used to be worth more was because they were the end game spear for Echigo. They soon got swapped with Genobusters when we got the Kusatsu patch. Now with Naksendo/Edo it's going to be Crosses and Brigandias. Dragon Spears are no longer worth that much as they have depreciated in value.
