Anyways, this has gone on long enough. Back to the original poster of the question. What I suggest is specialize in 1 weapon, learn it, build focusing on it, and then swap out your affinity magatama one by one.

Of course you can listen to this one idiot babbling on about how important effective health is, and how unimportant more damage than you need is. Its your choice

i corrected it for easier understanding

Keep in mind that unless you're clearing Secluded Forest Hell with a party of 5 in less than 3 minutes, there's definitely room for more damage. In fact I don't think there's anyone with more damage than they need at the moment, not to mention due to the incoming content update you might as well go way over the top with damage. Survivability isn't an issue for most people, they either use Resolute liquors or make use of the enemies' attack patterns to safely wipe them out. That's my knowledge of the matter anyway.

Back at the original poster, although I haven't had the chance to check how attack modifies overall damage output, assuming that 20% more attack is 20% more damage, then regardless of whether you're using defensive magatama or not,

Calculate the % amount increase of the damage stat in your status screen with each mushiro you're using. If you had 1000 each would have a 20% damage increase. If your affinity hasn't capped yet then affinity also fills this role (don't forget that affinity magatama don't affect the damage your weapon provides, so it's a 30% increase in damage if you had 500 affinity and your weapon provided 500, and the magatama you're using provides 60% affinity).

Add whatever magatama gives the most increase in damage. Note that each type gives diminishing returns (If you have 50% Skill Force then adding another 50% is equivalent to a 33% damage increase).
Repeat until all magatama slots are filled.

I hope that your answer has been answered somewhere in these 14 (and counting) posts.

yeah good point, it makes elemental magatamas (because they are different multiplers skillforce and elemental modifers are multiplicative to each other) much more valuable later on, too (unless you have some ridiculous stuff available like 90% on spear abilitys (seriously cs: WHY))

I have no knowledge of anyone getting it. There may always be a possibility, though knowing C$ for this many years, I'd say fat chance

I've only gotten at most Soul Eggs to appear in his bargain bin (though they're very cheap for what they are).
