Black Screen after going Full Screen.

I am not having this problem, but a friend of mine is. My friend wanted to go full screen, and after doing so, it has black screened. The music plays, but he cannot do anything but shut his computer down to exit. He as tried crtl+alt+delete and alt+tab. He literally cannot do anything. He has tried uninstalling and re-installing only for the same outcome. A black screen. Any help to this?
