Otonashi wrote:mhel, I'm pretty sure you're missing the point here. Deathy has already tried breaking weapons countless times and Rufei has already admitted as well that it's highly likely that his observation from before was a mistake. The only experimental outcomes that would contribute to this thread at all would be those that show that weapons do indeed occasionally lose durability upon reaching the "weapon damage" status and start missing.

While yes that is true, we just need enough test from multiple people to see if they lost max durability upon hitting zero, to then change the format , to see how often would it happen , there Is no harm in them posting their picture still. Cause it is apart the topic and having other show some of their results, does show I'm not as lucky as it might seem then , it would apply to other player having the same chances as everyone else.

To be honest :D
I don't even see why this is a big deal
I see you put in much effort
But really I don't think this subject deserves it
Durability is simple. It can be managed with a little effort.
If you switch weapons often you'd notice when a weapon icon is red, signalling low durability
You have the option of keeping sub weapons.

It also takes considerable effort at the lower levels to reduce durability to 0
One would think that most players would gain enough experience to manage durability once they reach the levels where dungeons take longer to finish and high ranked skills drain more

From a speculative point, perhaps the reason there is a sake drink to allow weapon usage after breakage(rusty bloom, though bugged apparently) and not one that prevents the breakage itself is a hint saying it's okay to break weapons.

As far as I'm concerned I'll only be wary of repairing more than breaking weapons.
With that said, if you really want to help the community, this doesn't seem the best way to go about it.

Interpret it as you like but I mean no offense
This is something that doesn't matter greatly
If it was, there would be a whole lot of people posting about weapons under 500 max durability

Don't forget the item "tailor" which restores max durability to 1000
Though I don't remember if it was in the mall, it wouldn't be hard to request an item to be added there
More money more power

I applaud your efforts truly, but it would be nice if you worked at something else

@ Meep

I understand what you are trying to say, and sorry I was removed from paralytics and was asleep for minor stuff, so I'm slightly dizzy so I may misunderstand some thing as I have dyslexia and dizziness is night...

But lower level , when doing an quest, might sometime do quest, after quest (like story line quest in Seki), and it pain sometime to run from dungeon to repair to just go back to an other dungeon was next to the other. and in the update , we will have more dungeon like that honestly.

So sure people are grinding to make those dungeon easier for them, some people will still be newer levels and ect, so they won't be able to do countless grinding of dungeon after dungeon with easiness.

And in alpha and Beta there was bug left and right and ect, and people let most thing about durability an non-care thing anything would been wipe, and wouldn't matter to care as much , so most focus on dungeon, mob, drop, and ect, rather then item and durability.

Now we're at opening release where Item Matter now, and Durability is the most important feature about an Item.

So while you say it not helping, it actually does matter to majority and if people live in fear to something, like reaching 0 durability, and having item that have weapon use thing at 0 durability, there has to be reason, and rather then never getting to it/use it, there be time when we are max level/dungeon Hell mode will be higher then us, making this info much more useful.

Do you understand What I am trying to say?... I am trying reread to see If I miss something you said that should address... but this the info I can provide and see what you are saying.

I can see where you are coming from
It is reasonable to fear max durability loss

But here is someones guide to a possible solution

Me and Swyli talk many time in game and while what she does help people increase max durability, that doesn't help new user, or harder dungeons for lower level ( as grinding is semi needed after Koyto to not be at total disabled in Seki )

What she talking about is weapon they are keeping for long term , as this more as a Get-me-by , to your goal. Cause If you are let say, level 20 in Kaga, your weapon will eat durability quickly even as a solo, cause how much level difference.

Now let say you get to the boss area , and you have 100-200 durability on ur best bow, why would you take all that time wasted, just to leave when you still have durability to be used, and if Rusty bloom wasn't glitch , having that would only further the player to be fine hitting zero to do damage. But I think Rusty blood Did affect the max durability, which is why I said I would test it before ( I didn't make myself clear on that and I do apolize as I wasn't able to sleep for a week , so lack of sleep made some my word strange, as I re-read some.

But, I hope this open your eye , to what I am saying. This post might not seem useful at 1st, but it does hold value to an Degree to be look into for player to see for themselves, and as there is an Patch , I'll be testing to see if it was a bug or not, (To see if durability is dropped) But I am expecting it to not be change, and testing the bloom to see if that was Fix also, and see if this has an affect to weapon max durability lost , and ect.

Having this information is something the community need to know incase something like this Does happen in the future does happen, Such as an event of mob wave, or PvP and ect , as durability isn't something to over look.

Get-me-bys... Are expendable
Long term weapons are what matter
By the way, don't patronise
My eyes don't need opening

Good luck with what you're doing
