Is my Laptop capable of playing this game Full settings ?

Postby Tomokazu123 » 01 Aug 2014, 19:07

I really want to dive into really playing this game, but as the requirements are Kind of vague I was unsure If my gaming Laptop could support playing this game with full graphics without any Lag.

My Laptops specs:

CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 / 2.0 GHz
Dual-Core

RAM 2.0 GB ( 2 x 1 GB )

Max RAM Supported 4.0 GB

Hard Drive 120.0 GB HDD / 5400.0 rpm

Graphics Processor NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 - 256.0 MB

Max Resolution 1920 x 1200

Some Input would be Nice Thanks.

Hi!

Because my income is feeding school and essentials, I am using an adequete-enough-for--main-purposes 7-year-old Thinkpad R60e with Windows XP and 1.5gigs RAM, and thanks my bfriend Onigiri's installed on a 8gig USB flash drive instead the hard drive to lower the stress and heat. The game is automatically rendered in a window instead of full screen because the Thinkpad only goes to 1024x768 natively so the right border of the 1280x800 window is clipped off but just a fraction of window edge is missing so it's no biggy. I didn't realize the awesome difference in resolution looks till I saw Onigiri on a friend's super wide 2-year-old machine and it's like comparing a cartoon to a video. The action is kind of jerky but passable and keyboard control response could be a lot quicker in battles and running, and my biggest beef is sometimes the window moves or shrinks or shifts off screen entirely or XP pop-ups suddenly blind you during the heat of battle while blindly stabbing keys (really royally sucks!!!), but hey I manged to make lvl 12 in three weeks so I guess I'm adapting this platform handicap! :D . I credit CS for at least allowing a machine this old to run a modern app like Onigiri, so I hope you do a lot better!!

Hey ^^ Leafey's options are fine if you don't mind occasional lag, slight movement delays/screen freezes and clipped-off window edge but it is proven to be workable. (And grats on reaching level 12!) Your computer's properties are fine.....Apart from the full graphics part. Assuming you're using GeForce 7600T, your performance will be almost twice as weak as using the optimal 7800T, resulting in possibly laggy-as-hell graphics/slow load speed. This will be a hindrance when running through crowds and talking to NPCs too, but is still manageable. You should be able to play the game though.
(Btw, the 7800GT upgrade costs only around 5 USD more so do consider it.)

These are my tech specs for my com which is running the game quite well:
Intel Core i7-4600M Processor (Dual Core, 4M Cache, 2.9 GHz)
Windows(R) 7 Professional 64-bit (English), No Media
8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3L Memory
FHD 1920x1080
1000GB6 Solid State Hybrid hard drive (5400RPM)
Intel® Integrated HD Graphics 4600 (Video card)

Thank you both for taking the time to answer, If that's the case maybe its time I upgrade to an Alienware laptop, I hear those run almost any game.
