Kikaigahara Crash 8/19/2014 Update Bug?

Just created a dummy account on XP and Vista machines and they crashed outside Kikaigahara. Onigiri performed perfectly on both prior the big overnight update. Was CS trying to quietly tweak some driver call or such as well the festival stuff? This issue needs more confirmations to come in to pin it down beyond than a one-shot chance cure. Where there's smoke there's fire, and this is a VERY bad bug to introduce first timers to the game who are out on their first main quest.

By the way this bug works, first crashing when you're near the Kilkaigahara rest area then right after you log into the area then during boot-up after your avatar choice in no matter which account you have, it's like it progressively corrupts your account if it goes outside the game like that!

You have to wonder if this thing isn't only happening to newbies but is lying in wait somewhere in higher levels!

Same thing happens for me... crashes as soon as I try to enter world, which is right outside the rest area. Does anyone know how quickly bugs will get fixed here? I'm a new player, and Onigiri looks like it has potential... but if the game will be unplayable for awhile, I might as well look for something else.

I have been wondering about that, maybe if the festival update is gone. Maybe JUST MAYBE we can stop crashing from the Kikaigahara area. I kept getting mad from logging in and out. just pray that it will work when the festival update is gone so our main characters can go back to what we do to get stronger, i dont wanna start all over just because of a stupid update bug

If they used their pre-Yukata Festival Update backup I bet the problem would clear up overnight. It's a shame they didn't quietly ask a few gamers here to beta test the Yukata Festival Update before they uploaded it. Along other issues, it's helped cost them a lot of gamers and their reputation. Because of this bug a lot of players are going to miss out on the festival which is sad because the city scenes were quite beautiful.

Although i'm not sure if my character level counts as being high or if you mean just the area level, but i'm on level 21 and it does this to me(although it's only happened in kikaigahara)... I even tried logging in on my brothers computer, it worked. i went back to mine it worked, then i was disconnected and i couldn't play him on my computer again. i even tried re-installing the game and that didn't work. TT,TT... I miss my chara

The crash still goes on.
At first I thought that it's something on my end (as all the crashes before this one) but it accured even after I installed another version of Windows and all the working drivers/etc. Then I made a new character just to see if this happens again right in that spot in Kikaigahara - and it actually did... It was before i checked the forums here just to find out that it's happening on the different computers as well.
If only there was the "Unstuck Character" button while it's offline, somewhere in the account menu :\
*Update: somehow I managed to log in and move out of Kikaigahara but now it started happening in Oosumi Planes West, not far from a newly appeared questgiver (after "To Kyoto" quest). No other game ever crashed like this one.

new player here,
after crashed in front kikaigahara i create 5 avatar to check what's the cause and it seem that all of them crush at the same area,after a while i reach this forum.and WHAT THE HELL!!? HALF YEAR HAS PAST SINCE THIS BUG BEEN DISCOVERED and yet! it's still here~
GET TO WORK,DAMMIT !!!
