If Cyberstep just pulled out and used its pre-summer festival backup right now, 90% of all these issues would go up in smoke. No graphics card problem. It's a festival programming problem.

Yeah... there's nothing new I can add to help solving the problem...

So, yeah, I'm stuck in the black hole too and, each time I load my character, the game crashes.
The game was working perfectly fine until I went in the zone shown in the map from a previous post by Otonashi:

In addition, about 10 minutes before I got into the black hole, I was doing the Abou Forest and I kept crashing whenever the game started loading the boss.

If we were to ask me, the Kikuzou sounds like the source of the problem.

If any Cyberstep staff read this, would it be possible to have this problem solved ASAP? If not, is it possible to change my character's location (say somewhere in Onigashima) so that I can continue playing my level 26 character (named "Lord Honk")?
I would deeply hate having to start over.

I believe there is enough evidence to prove that the cause of the crash is the name and model change of Morizou to Kikuzou, which was due to copyright. In any case, reverting over a month of progress is hardly a consideration.

Given that updating drivers has solved the problem for some people, and there have been multiple reports that suggest Kikuzou are the source of the problem, I find it highly likely that the new Kikuzou name model (i.e. the one that appears above their heads and in the bestiary) is incompatible with older drivers, or graphic cards with drivers which are no longer being updated, as their actual model does not appear in the bestiary, but only their name.

I got out of the crash zone in Kikaigahara by logging in on a friends computer (which is superior to my computer in every way) and moved myself back to the Temporal Rift.

Afterwards, I logged in on my computer and my problem was "solved". But now I have to avoid places with Kikuzous (which may or may not get in my way in future side quests).

I gave up on this game 2-3 months ago after encountering this crash, but when I read this thread, I gave it another shot.

I installed the game on another laptop and it worked! I rescued my character from that "Black Hole". Graphics card really was the problem for me.

Thanks Otonashi :-)

P.S. Does anyone know where to find those Kikuzou's to avoid them in the future? Like beyond Sekigahara and future areas?
Playing this game at my own pace.

I just recently came back to Onigiri and had to restart one of my chars and still ran into that bug right when I entered the area outside of the Kikaigahara Rest Area. :x Before when I was playing, I had absolutely no problem going to into that area, which I did rather frequently, and the game worked just fine, but I left b4 the festival update back when the mob that spawned in that area was called Morizou not what ever it's called now. I really hope the resolve this issue soon so I can continue playing my lowbie char cuz as it stands I can't even proceed with the main questline with her since I can't get to the Kikaigahara Rest Area where her quests are.
