Kishinden Hard glitch...?

I was trying to grind the hard mode of Kishinden, as I'm not strong enough for hell version of it yet, and every time I get to the boss, and he says,"'Not bad, secret technique", or whatever, it glitches, and I can't do any more damage whatsoever. I'm above the required level for it, I'm level 16, and I can do craploads of damage to the boss before he says secret technique, but afterwords, nothing affects him. I've switched weapons, and nothing works. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but that doesn't help, either. Easy mode and Hell mode the boss takes damage just fine for me, but for some odd reason, hard mode doesn't work...

Anyone know how to fix this...?

You need to kill the little darumas he summons so that his damage shield is removed.
